Abby strolled down into the Shatterdome, approaching Striker Eureka, 'Good morning, Abby,' said Hiro, the Japanese scientist Abby working with.
'Morning, Hiro,' she smiled and take the tablet off the table and began to drown into it. 'Abby, the left wing of Striker—,' said Jim. She looked up, 'The missile launcher?' she arched her eyebrows.
'It's jammed, I need manual mechanic.' the 30 year old engineer stood there, all oil and sweat. She scrolled her tablet to see the status of the left wing. She sighed. 'I'm on it. Thanks, Jim.' She said. But Jim didn't left her. 'Anything else?' she asked.
'There's rumor going on with you and Chuck.' She tilted her head, 'what is it?'
'That you and Chuck are going in the divorce,' said Jim, careful with his own words.
Abby scoffs. 'Is it true?' asked Jim. Hiro looked at her, she was smiling playfully while checking her tablet. 'Is it?' asked Hiro, curious with her answer too. 'No, of course not! Why did you even think of that?' clarifies Abby to both of her friends.
'The boys been buzzing about it. Said things gone worse between you two,' said Jim.
'No, Jim. No one is getting a divorce,' she smiled.
'Be careful, though. Lots of rangers think you're not Mrs. Hansen anymore,' joke Jim. He went back to Striker again.
'Why did everyone think like that?' asked Abby to Hiro. 'Probably because you and Chuck didn't appear to be close like the Kaidonovskys?' answered Hiro. She glanced at the Kaidonovskys at the other side of Shatterdome. They were always seen together, hand-in-hand.
Abby put down her tablet and turning on her radio. 'I need Banner,' she said. 'Banner's here,' said the voice over the radio. 'I need you to fix the missile launcher, Banner. For three consecutive time it has been jammed.' She said. 'I'm on it, Hansen. Don't worry about it,' he said.
Abby heard a bark behind her, 'Hey, Max,' she lean down to give Max a rub on his belly. Herc and Chuck were walking behind him. 'How's Striker?' asked Herc. 'Great, but the missile launcher is jammed, again.' answer Abby. She hold Max and stood up. 'Everything's fine?' she asked, because they seem like having an intense conversation before they met her.
'Marshal Pentecost just told us that he got Gipsy's pilot,' said Herc.
'Raleigh Becket? They found him?' Abby looked at Herc and Chuck respectively.
'He's on the deck already, be here soon,'
Then the Shatterdome gate opens, Marshal Pentecost, Mako, and Becket enter the room.
Herc went to them, but Chuck is staying next to Abby. 'Put him down,' said Chuck, she reluctantly put Max down to the floor. 'Don't you want to greet him?' asked Abby, 'Nah,'
'Why not? He's our team now,' said Abby, she planted her hand on her waist. Watching as Herc talking to them.
'Yeah right,' Chuck glares at Raleigh Becket. She knows from his sight that he dislike him. 'Come here, Max,' said Mako, Max run onto her.
'Come on, it wouldn't hurt to greet them,' she looks at Chuck, she gave him the look. 'If you want to, go then,' he crossed his arms over his chest.
'That's my son, and his wife,' Herc waved to them, Abby waved back, Chuck snorts and turns to see Striker. Herc looked disappointed by Chuck's behavior, Abby mouthed sorry to him.
