Chapter 1: The Trap
"Mwahahahaha! That rodent has no idea what he is getting himself into!" the maniacal Dr. Eggman cackled to himself. Sitting in the heart of his fortress, Eggman intently watched Sonic's progress on the monitor in front of him.
"I don't want to make it too easy for that little pest, or he might get wise to my real scheme!" he said, completely unaware that he was still talking to himself. Meanwhile, Sonic raced towards the center of Eggman's fortress. He felt that this was a trap, because the badniks eren't a aggressive as usual. "Eggman really isn't good at hiding his schemes." Sonic said to himself.
Up ahead he spotted 2 doors sliding shut.
'"Guess that's where I'm supposed to be heading, considering Eggman's trying so hard to seal it off." He made it just in time as the doors closed behind him. He was traped in an empty, spacious room with a screen mounted on the far wall.
Suddenly, the screen turned on and proected a live video of the evil doctor. "Well, well, hedgehog," he started. "I've finally got you right where I want you, and this time there's on escape!"
"I'd like you to meet my favorite badniks!" Three parts of the wall opened up, and out stepped Metal Sonic, Silver Sonic, and Mecha Sonic.
Sonic grinned. "It's about time you give me a real challenge, Eggman. But you should know by now that these three are no match for me!" Eggman looked on as Sonic proceeded to trash the robot Sonics.
"Now, my pet, go!" he said. Amid the chaos of flying metal and spindashing, a tiny robotic bug latched on to Sonic's spines. "Mission complete!" Eggman said happily.
Seconds later an exhausted Sonic finally finished off the robots. "Whew, what a workout! I think we're done here Eggman. Game, set, match! Next time, try not to make it so easy for me!" Sonic sped out of the base as Eggman looked on, grinning devilishly.
"Oh, you're definetely not the winner here Sonic."Eggman laughed. " Definetely not the winner! Mwahahaha!"
