This was written immediately after 'Illness' so I really don't have much to say. This is a little bit dark though so keep that in mind. Might I add long as well?
I don't own Pokémon.
THE FORSAKEN
May sighed as she looked outside from her bedroom window. She loved the decision of leaving Ash for Drew nearly a month ago. She could not explain why but what they did, was not right to her. They dated for nearly two years yet she still left him.
Then her parents had forced her to marry Drew, not that she minded in any way. Drew was a real sweetheart.
She sighed again, bored to the core. Her husband would not be back for several hours. She had finished all the household chores and now was sitting with nothing in hand, to keep her occupied.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang, snapping May from her thoughts. She quickly opened the door, expecting it to be Drew, but to her dismay found a parcel sitting on her doorstep. May looked around but saw no one and so, returned her attention back to the parcel. It was addressed to her so she took it inside her house and began opening it. It contained a very old photo album, with very faint words saying, "The Glorious Life of Ash Ketchum".
May frowned. How had this parcel reached her? She had never contacted him after leaving him! Neither had she given him her address! Nevertheless, curiosity got the best of her and she opened the book and smiled, looking at the photos. Ash's first birthday, Ash's first day at school, Ash's first girlfriend…
Her breath got caught in her throat. The picture showed herself smiling, giving Ash his very first kiss. The next page showed the two of them laughing on their first date.
The next 20 or so pages contained random moments from their life together, until May spotted the final picture together till she left him forever. Their last and final outing.
Underneath this was the photo of a grave stone. The writing was faint but May could easily make out: "The man who lived for his friends. Here lies Ash Ketchum…"
May's smile was now replaced by a solemn look. She may not have liked Ash but he still didn't deserve to die.
Right below the picture of the gravestone, in very shaky handwriting was a:
May, why did you leave me?
May, now, was shaking uncontrollably. Abruptly, she noticed something else. The '?' had its dot stretched and the horrible truth of why leapt into May's mind.
She was reading his last words.
Very dark and nowhere near 100 words so this, I guess, is flying solo and not as a drabble in Drabble Time!
