"Why?" Is what I ask her. "Why what?" She asks me. And she looks at me like she seriously doesn't know why I asked.
"Cora, why didn't you say goodbye? Okay, I wondered for months why you didn't but every answer I thought of made you seem worse than you really are. So just tell me why you left without saying goodbye." Releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding.
I'm pacing around the room looking at her. Cora freaking Hale. A girl who says what's on her mind. Who's breathtaking. And someone I probably shouldn't have fallen in love with since her brother would rip my throat out... with his teeth.
She looks down. And we stand there in silence for who knows how long. Well actually she sits on my bed while I pace around in the silence. And I'm about to say something but then she sighs and says quietly, "I didn't say goodbye to you Stiles because if I did I would never leave."
"What kind of answer is that?" I ask with my hands in the air.
"I would never leave because I love you too much to say goodbye and leave. I'm also not good with goodbyes."
I stop pacing and look at her. Cora Hale loves me. And for the first time I am speechless. She looks at me, " And I know I am a totally idiot because you only feel that way about Lydia and I just wanted for you to know that so that is why I climbed through your window at this time and I'm just going to go now."
Cora gets up from my bed and walks toward the window. But, before she gets out I stop her. " You are not leaving again, okay? I do not love Lydia Martin anymore. I love you and only you Cora Hale. Okay? And if you leave me again I will go out my freaking mind. Because I don't think I could go on without your beautiful face."
And then I take up all my courage and I kiss the girl. We kiss for what seems like forever but is only minutes until Scott comes and messes it up.
"Hey Stiles I-,"
Scott McCall you are so dead!
"Hey Scott" I glare.
"Yeah. I'll just ask you later."
"Yeah you go do that"
"Okay. Nice seeing you Cora!" Scott says and closes the door.
"Cora. How would you like to go out with me?" She laughs.
"Well. Is that a yes or no?"
"As a wise woman once said, 'yes'"
