I had never been nervous like this.
Well, I had never done something like this either, but I knew I had to fight my fears. Mrs. Starling, the music teacher had been very persuasive for years about me playing at the rehearsal, and I'm sure she takes all the honour about me sitting here. So wrong she was. This was only about me standing up for the first time. Just as much as I liked watching people from aside and keep for myself I was sick of always being the invisible girl no one ever listened to or cared about or even noticed that she exists.
Playing this small concert was the first time the school ever saw me. After 10 years. And nothing did they knew about the process leading me to this podium.
