He wasn't very surprise when he starts to hear her voice.
What is one more voice to add to the endless voices that he can hear. Voices of the dead. Although with her it is different.
She is the one person that he craves to hear her voice and at the same time dreads it, because he was the one who had taken her life. He was the one who pierce her heart with his blade. Despite the fact that he knew he had to kill her.
He knew that Etro was inside of her. Controlling her like a puppet on strings. Although he still can't figure out why the goddess of death would possess her.
Perhaps someday he will find out.
He knows quite well that his journey isn't over yet. With each passing day brings him one step closer to Etro, and perhaps he can end this.
Even if takes his dying breath.
Yet he can't deny the fact that he hopes to get some peace in quiet once this all over. Even if it means that he has to forget her.
All the bittersweet memories they share together. She has been the only one that made him feel less alone. Even though he knows that he has wonderful friends.
They just couldn't understand what it feels like to see the light of Etro. To hear the voices of the dead and have nightmares of the underworld. Not to mention the strange abrnomal powers that only people who can see the light have.
Even though he has met a few others like him, most of them being his enemies and some of them who still are his enemies.
She is the only one that he has…had a connection with. He can still remember sharing stories with each other.
On their near death experince, despite how painful it may be to talk about. When they first discovered their powers. He even told her about his friends.
How he had met each one of them, and how they bring a bit of light to his life.
But no where close to ammount of light that she had brought him. If they were just mere lights then she would be the sun.
Even now.
Comforting him. Telling him the words that he needs to hear. Even if it did bring back awful memories of him killing her.
It's not your fault…Noct.
I will always love you…Noct.
Although her words are somewhat are comforting. He still can't help but to blame himself for her death, and perhaps he will always blame himself.
He holds his head in his hands, covering her ears. Almost as if he was trying to block out the sounds, but the sounds wouldn't disappear.
Their will always be light in your life….Noct.
"Liar," he mumbles softly.
He can almost hear her chuckle softly to herself and he can almost see a ghost like smile appear on her lovely features. She hardly seems to mind the fact that she was call a liar.
You will see Noct.
"But my light was you," he replies.
You still have light Noct. You will always have light if you life Noct. If you look hard enough.
He nods, "Taking in riddles again Stella."
A riddle that you already know the answer too
Noctis frowns lightly. "Thank you Stella."
Maybe this is a new beginning.
