A/N: I'm quite a fan of this series and while I don't usually write for this type, I became inspired for this one.
Long ago, before the time of Gold Roger, the World Government, during the era of the Ancient Kingdom, the world was shaken by the most evil of creatures: the Sea Devil.
It was said the heathen beast long to bring mayhem to the world, so using his power over darkness, he summoned damned spirits from the deep to be his army. He gave him them the power to take on the form of any force in the world. Some chose powers considered superhuman, others chose to take on the form of animals. His most elite generals chose the very elemental forces of nature.
With his army at his side, the Sea Devil unleashed chaos and destruction across the globe. Ships were sunk. Storms brew everywhere. Islands were forever changed.
The beast seemed unstoppable…
Until the gods from above, disgusted with his sins, unleashed a powerful curse upon him and his army, imprisoning their spirits in the form of fruits. In this form, they will remain forever.
It is said that anyone who eats even one of those fruits will be infused with the spirit of that demon. However, due to the demons being of spirits who perished in the deep, their curse will forever plague the consumer. It is also said that two demon spirits are too powerful for one vessel to hold. To this day, not one soul has been able to wield the power of two demons.
However, it is said according to legend that a vessel will gain the power of the Sea Devil himself and with it, change the world.
