This is inspired by Shakespeare's sonnet "My Mistress' Eyes" and set in "The Parting Of The Ways" (when Rose is revealed to be the Bad Wolf) from the Doctor's point of view.

Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor who. (It still hurts every time i say that.)

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun.

No. They burn far brighter.
The energy of the entire time vortex has taken her beautiful brown eyes from me.
I see only the Bad Wolf it has made her.

Coral is far more red than her lips red.
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;

Since when have her lips, that once held the universes most beautiful smile, now be turned in a scowl that burn through time?
With one scorching look she kills the false god.
How did he let this happen? She was just a human child. A girl, barely the age of nineteen, saving the life of an old man so unworthy? It should have been impossible. He should have stopped it.

If hairs be wires, blonde wires grow on her head.
I have seen roses damasked, red and white, but no such roses see I in her cheeks;

My pink and yellow Rose. Her splendor took him by surprise. It wasn't her beauty that shocked him. No. He saw that from the moment he took her hand and told her to run. It was the fact that HE found her beautiful.

And in some perfumes is there more delight
than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.

She had a scent of her own. Some unknown natural perfume.
It stirred in the air when she passed. He could smell it in his dreams.
Now she reeks of time. The time energy that sits behind her eyes. Slowly killing this innocent girl.

I love to hear her speak, yet still I know that music hath a more pleasing sound.
I grant I never saw a goddess go; my mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground.

Her voice is his addiction. He could listen to it until the end of the universe.
But to hear her sweet voice say words of such hate and power was far more than wrong. It was unjust.
Why would she fight his battles? Why would she sacrifice herself like this?
It seemed everywhere he went that death was sure to follow. Why did he always ruin people's lives? He could have left her alone. She could have had a normal life and been happy with the one she loved. Gotten married. Grown old. Had children.
Why was he suddenly jealous of that? Why did he suddenly want her?

And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
as any she belied with false compare.

And yet she chose to save him. The girl who healed his hearts. He would do anything to have her back, to rid her of this beast controlling her.
He loved her. And he would save her.
He would give her true beauty back. The innocent beauty of a Rose.
The Bad Wolf has had its time.
But it will not take her from him.

"I think you need a Doctor."
