Rio is being invited by Kimber to meet him secretly at a cliff. According to her, it's a surprise for him.
"Okay, Kimber. What is it you want to see me for?" the former asked.
"This," was her response as she pulls out a ring in front of his eyes. It shows a swirly front.
"What is... this?" Rio tries to stay focus, but he's starting to lose control under its power. "Are... you... trying... to...?"
In a matter of seconds, his eyes are now in a swirly position just like the ring.
It worked, Kimber thought. I have him under my control. Thank you, hypno ring.
She's glad that it worked; she has Rio under her trance. Recalled on two days ago that she bought the item, she planned on testing it on him, so that he can have some self-control over how he feels about deceptions. That way, if there's ever a scenario where Jerrica reveals her secret of being Jem to him, that won't get him mad over it.
Now she hopes that her plan would work.
"When I snap my fingers, you won't get mad about being deceived. It's okay to be deceived as long as it doesn't hurt anyone like you. In other words, deception is good. Well, for the right reasons..."
She snaps her fingers, and Rio awakes from his trance.
"Wh-What happened?" he asked with confusion.
"Nothing. Nothing at all," she hid her hands behind her back. While she's doing this, she secretly removed her ring.
Now she only hopes that the hypnotic suggestion worked.
Tonight, it's another concert for the Holograms, and it's quite a success. Kimber hides to see her older sister in her Jem form talking to Rio.
"Rio, I want to show you something. Please don't get mad at me," Jem said. "Show's over, Synergy."
In a matter of seconds, she transformed back to her true identity, Jerrica Benton.
"Jerrica, you're Jem?" Rio is surprised.
"Yes, I am," was her response. "Are you mad?"
"No, why would I be?" Rio hugs her. It looks like the hypnotic suggestion Kimber placed on him worked after all.
"Wha...?" Jerrica is confused. Of course she isn't aware of her sister hypnotizing him prior to the concert. Nevertheless, she hugged him back. She's just glad he took the revelation well.
"Look, Jerrica, it's okay for me to be deceived as long as it's for the right reasons," Rio reassured.
"Right, for the right reasons..."
As they let go of the hug, they looked at each other with smiles on their faces. With them holding each other's hands, their relationship has been upgraded. Jerrica is glad to finally get that secret off of her chest.
Kimber is just happy things worked out between them. Sure she hypnotized Rio, but it's worth it.
