"Luke, Thalia was your friend! She sacrificed herself for us!" Annabeth screamed at him "How could you do this!" "You're going to lecture me about Thals, when you're hanging out with that!" he pointed to Tyson "Thalia was more than a friend to me, and you say I am dishonoring her! You disappoint me most!" he raged on, his voice getting angrier as he went on "Throw them into the brigs!" "Leave her alone!" I yelled at him. He just rolled his eyes, trying to disguise his sorrow, but before I left, I saw a tear roll down his cheek.

Annabeth's POV

More than a friend? What really happened when Luke covered my eyes? Was he really not letting me see her death, or was something going on!? Percy looked painfully in my direction. "You're reading my thoughts!" I yelled at him. He had gotten a device from Hermes that allowed him to do that. "Yes….and I'm going to figure out what happened. Luke and Thalia obviously had something going on. I will figure it out!" Percy shouted. "Percy….you'll only make Luke angry!" I screamed. But Percy was already using Hermes's magical tape to break us out. Oh no.

Percy's POV

"Ok Annie, you stay here and listen in the stairwell, while I talk man to man about the past with Luke. Got it?" I explained. "Yes…but it still doesn't feel right" Annabeth said, but I didn't care. I just opened up the door and left it like that so Annie could hear. "L-Luke?" I whispered. The neon lights of the ship's deck were illuminating the dark deck in an eerie light. Luke was must have fallen asleep at his desk, because he was still hunched over his work. I moved a step, but the floorboards creaked and Luke shot up, "Percy! W-what are you doing here!?" he said, anger welling up in his voice. "I wanted to talk" I said, sounding like an idiot. Luke sighed and motioned for me to sit down. "Before…..you said Thalia was more than a friend? What did you mean?" I took the chance. "I don't want to talk about it" Luke said, rubbing his forehead and leaning back in his chair. I realized then, how old, and stressed out Luke really was. He was probably about twenty. "C'mon Luke, I really need to know" I pleaded. Luke was tired so I knew he would give in quickly without a fight. "Thalia and I were more than friends. Or at least I thought of her that way. She was beautiful. I couldn't resist. So we stayed up all night watching the stars and laughed and took care of Annie together, fighting monsters and protecting the family we had made for ourselves. The family we never had. I had asked the gods for one thing. One. And they just couldn't do it. That's why I never liked them. I joined and every moment I thought if it would have been what Thalia and Annie wanted, but I kept thinking that even if I did drink from the devil's soul, I would never give them up. Kronos told me I could have whatever I wanted, that Thalia would join and rule with me. That if I poisoned her and resurrected him, then I could use the fleece for her. So I believed him." Luke said.

"What do you mean you asked them for one thing?" I asked. "I asked to keep her safe. I would die for her. For them to take me not her. I couldn't take care of Annie alone. I didn't need to ask for Annie's protection because both of us would have died for her anytime. They just couldn't do one small thing" Luke started to get angry. "Luke, she loved you" Annie came in suddenly. "How would you know" he hissed. "Because she told me once. Well not exactly told me, but I overheard her talking to herself about you. She loved you."

This is short and stupid. I know that already. This will not be updated. Just a freaky little thought. (*And I know that 20 is not old but compared to Percy being 16 yes it is. So whatever).
