It had been 5 years since the war was over. The Fire nation had won. Aang had died in the Avatar state, and all hopes for peace gone. As for Sokka, I only knew he was hurt during battle and I had no clue if he was looking for me or where he is. Toph got sent back to her parents. I have been wondering town to town with no name.

Shit. Shit. Shit. I thought as a Fire nation guard came up behind me. "Young lady, aren't you out a little late?" I looked at him and saw he was fresh meat, just barely a rookie. "Yes sir, I was just on my way home." "Ok, well, get home miss?"

"Miss Zulia." I loved that named I got the Zu part from Zuko, my 'dead' lover, or so Ozai said. And the Lai part from Lee, the name Zuko used in Baa Sing Se. "Haven't I seen you before?" Shit. "I travel a lot thanks though."

"You look water tribe. You're coming with me." "But my mother will worry." "She should, were your going." He said menacingly. He put something over my mouth and I passed out.

I woke up in a cell on a boat. My lower regions hurt so bad that I gasped. It was too dark to see out of the bars on the door. There was a dim light in the cell next door and my torch lit up as the person in the other cell noticed I was awake.

Other person's pov

I've been on this boat in solitary confinement for 4 years. I was put here because I was in love with that water bending peasant. She was the only reason that I taught the Avatar. I only stayed to be with her.

Stop lying to yourself nephew.

I would hear uncle say in my head. Sometimes if I was lucky or delusional enough I could see or hear Katara, my one and only love. I would pretend that we told the rest of the group. More importantly, how they would react.

I did nothing but think, eat, drink, meditate, and practice bending movements. I had convinced myself that she was alive and that she had caused me to end up here, until I heard her outside my head. They were bringing her down the hall.

They through her into the cell next to mine. She laid on her cot by the bas between us. I went over to her, after I knew she was asleep, and an my fingers though her chocolate hair and breathed in her scent.

She woke up as diner was dropped off. "Don't eat anything green." I gave her some advice after I lit her torch. "I'm not stu- … Zuko?" she said in surprise. "Zuko is that you?" "Yes." Was all I could say.

"I missed you, Katara."She ran over to the bars to look at me and make sure she isn't dreaming. I stood and walked over to her. "I love you."She said as soon as I got close enough to hear her whisper. "I love you too."

"Do you know of anything about Sokka?" "No I thought you were with him." " You've been in her for a long time?" "Four years." "I thought you were dead. I would have gotten you had I known."

"I lost him during the last battle, he got wounded and I told him to run and he ran. I haven't heard anything, I think he went to the north pole. I went there a few years ago and he hadn't been there. I tried to have a normal life but couldn't without you. I so happy I found you."

"Sorry to ruin the love parade but Zulia a couple of questions to answer." I gave her a questioning look and she mouthed tell you later.

After like an hour they brought he back.

Katara's pov

"I used Zulia as my name. I kind of stole it from you, the Zu part from Zuko and the Lai part from Lee." "So you did think of me?" "It was kind of the way I stayed close to you." "I never forgot you and could never get you off my mind. I told myself you were alive so I could sleep at night."

He leaned down and kissed me though the bars. I kissed him back with everything in me.

She always woke up there, never any more or less. She would wake up gasping for air and this time her water broke and she gave birth to a girl named Zulia. Too bad she would never meet her dad. I miss him. His son, Zuko jr, misses him too.

'I love you Zuko.' I thought.
