"Did you know it wasn't me, the other Max?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"When?"
"Right away."
"How?" I persisted. "We look identical. She even had identical scars and scratches. She was wearing my clothes. How could you tell us apart?"
He turned to me and grinned, making my world brighter. "She offered to cook breakfast."
A second later we were laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes all over again. Fang and I leaned against each other and laughed and laughed, unable to speak, for the longest time.
"It's nice. To see you like this." He said, once we regained ourselves.
"You too. It's nice to see 'Mr No Emotions' laugh. You should do it more often."
"Being sarcastic?" He raised a single eyebrow.
"No! I just like to see you happy." What was I saying!? "I mean; you know. All the flock." I tried to continue to ramble on but before I could finish his lips were hard against mine. I stopped breathing for a single moment before I remembered that Fang wouldn't want me to suffocate in his arms. I felt a hand smooth down my hair on my neck, and shivers were prickling down my back. I uncertainly placed a soft hand on Fangs cheek. I felt him smile into my lips. I opened my eyes for the slightest moment –Dang! He was looking back at me!
"It's rude to stare." I pulled away and stated.
"I guess…" He almost smiled.
I pushed his fringe out of his eyes slowly. "You should smile more often." I smirked.
"If you want me to."
"I like you smile."
"That a yes then?"
"Yes."
And he kissed me again; my whole world blossomed. I'd found what I had been wanting. Needing. Even though he had been in front of my whole life.
