A Dreamt Reality
A/N: My entry into Starvation's Hunger Games, One Shot challenge. The prompt was, "reality is wrong, dreams are for real." I know it's very short. Reviews are greatly appreciated. Tata.
I was in a small, dark red room. The only thing in tiny space was a dark purple couch, which seemed to look plush and comfortable.
A door as bright red as blood seemed to suddenly appear in one of the walls, and an average sized person came out. Her dark hair so similar to mine in colour shined even though there was barely any light in the room, and her eyes were as grey and stormy as a rain cloud.
Katniss Everdeen.
Katniss was many things to me, best friend, hunting partner, first love.
She walked into the room with slow footsteps, like she was afraid of something and had to tread carefully. Her whole body shook like it was in never ending pain and strangled sobs escaped her mouth. I rushed to help her and hugged her to my body, trying to quench the screams which racked her broken frame.
Her arms wrapped around me, tightening around my large body. Then she mumbled the four words which continued to break me and fulfil me every night that this nightmare occurred.
"I love you Gale."
I woke up in a sweat and checked my surroundings, just a small bed in a District Two house.
Sometimes I wish dreams were the reality.
