Animal Culture: The Birds
Cultured and refined Birdmen,
Embrace technology and art.
Believing in education,
These birdbrains are very smart.
Wearing refined clothing,
Keeping track of history,
Democracy rules their people,
With no political mysteries.
But with this modernity
Comes a feeling of arrogance.
Too highly the Birds think of themselves,
Living their lives in a proud trance.
Flying high up in the sky,
Making homes in the treetops,
Birds can legally arrest people,
With their elite Kites who are cops.
Avista is their greatest achievement,
A floating city up in the clouds.
Always powered by the Tech Stone,
And guarded by Ravenmen proud.
Science and beetles-on-the-half-shell
Are the diet of a birdbrain.
Mystic notions are not loved,
Causing the ghosts and spirits to wane.
O Birds of peace in Avista,
Bless you for your genius art,
But your pride above other peoples
Makes you in their sight very tart.
