Rule 1: Never EVER make the true culprit's hints obvious.

Rule 2: If you DO break rule 1, give them a shocking backstory.

Rule 3: Kill off everybody's most beloved charecters.

Rule 4: Quote novels.

Rule 5: Make each teenage relationship include being childhood friends.

Rule 6: Find the bloodiest, gooriest ways possible to kill a human being without making evidence too obvious.

Rule 7: Create a not-so-bad/fangirl-causing New Green Goblin in all white. (Yes, Kaito Kid, I'm talking about you.)

Rule 8: HUNTED BY THE MAFIA! YAY!

Rule 9: RUN INTO SOMEBODY ELSE BEING HUNTED BY THE SAME MAFIA! YAY!

Rule 10: SPILL YOUR TRUE IDENTITY CONSISTENTLY TO RANDOM PEOPLE YOU KNOW, YAY!

Rule 11: Teenage horomones, baby! ;)

Rule 12: A pearl necklace can be used as a weapon.

Rule 13: You can train your dog to attack innocent human beings in about a week without them being a guard dog.

Rule 14: Even the dumbest people can commit the most well-planned-out crimes.

Rule 15: Uhh...minor pedophillia?

Rule 16: If you look like Shinichi, you are instantly a hero and/or sucessful villan.

Rule 17: If you look like Shinichi, you've got a shounen girlfriend.

Rule 18: If you've got a shounen girlfriend, she'll complain about things you do...a lot.

Rule 19: They'll have a right to complain.

Rule 20: You've got more than one girl who wants you if you look like Shinichi.

Rule 21: Annoy the viewers constantly by avoiding big kisses and confessions at all costs, even if it means killing off an innocent bystanding charecter.

Rule 22: The murderer never leaves the landscape. Ever.

Rule 23: Never a serial killer to murder for no reason. Ever. There ALWAYS has to be a motive.

Rule 24: There's no better way to say 'I Love You' than a flip of the skirt, name-calling, and karate-chopping.

Rule 25: Magnifying glass needed, as well as a monocle and pair of glasses.

Rule 26: Never insult the shounen girlfriend. Ever.

Rule 27: Consistent use of the word 'Oi'.

Rule 28: Love is the main motive in murder cases.

Rule 29: Most cases will be murders.

Rule 30: DR-AHMAAAA!

Rule 31: All female charecters KICK BUTT! (So you're stuck with the shounen girlfriend in this anime no matter WHAT you do.)

Rule 32: Better than Twilight.
