A/N: This is a short one that I had laying around with all my other writings. I hope you enjoy it!
"Mummy? Mummy where are they?" Said the small voice of Arthur Kirkland.
"Arthur what do you mean? Where are what?"
"My wellingtons!" Exclaimed the 5 years old, frowning at his shoes in dismay. "I can't find them."
"Did you put them back when you came inside yesterday?" Not looking up from the project in her hands.
"I think so. Maybe I put them by the back door when I came in through the mud room."
"Well," she said finally looking up from her knitting. "Why don't you go find them and play outside until dinner is ready."
"Alright!" he exclaimed and practically ran to the mud room to look for his boots. When he found them alongside the rest of his rainy-day gear and headed outside. After he had been playing for a while he heard a voice behind him.
"What are you doing Arthur?" the thick French accent asked.
"Playing. Leave me alone Francis, I really don't want to play with anyone else right now."
"Oh." The normally bright blonde sounded dejected, and Arthur looked up to see the tears in the other boy's eyes.
"I'm sorry! I didn't really mean it I, just have other friends." He pointed to a spot over his head and introduced them all to the French boy.
"Who are you talking about, there is no one there." The French said confused.
"You can't see them?" Arthur asked slightly incredulous.
"Not really, I see trails of sparkles. That's all though."
"Hold my hand!" As he grabbed the boys hand he blushed a little at the contact. "Now can you see them?"
"Wow!" Francis said in awe, gazing around him as he finally saw all of the 'friends' that Arthur had been talking about. "Yeah, I can see your friends now."
