Dry Bowser, Petey Piranha, and Toadette looked around the tropical village they landed at to see a bunch of mafia guys wandering around, with them all in Mafia Town as they looked at each other.
"How did we end up getting here?" Dry Bowser asked as he took a look at a map that he found on the sand below. "It feels like we've been to random places too much."
"Uh huh... I just wonder hat these 'time pieces' are suppose to be," Toadette questioned as she held one in her hands, having spotted it lying just by the ocean waves, with it being wet. "They're shaped like hourglasses..."
Petey mumbled as he pointed with one of his big green leaves, with Hat Kid dashing around the beach as she spotted the trio, dashing up to them as she waved, moving her hands about. Petey mumbled as he did various poses, with Hat Kid nodding as she understood the mutated piranha plant perfectly, turning to Toadette and seeing the time piece, clapping her hands together.
"Oh? You want this?" Toadette said as she then handed Hat Kid the time piece, wrapping her arms around the back of her pink mushroom cap. "Gosh, it must be important to ya."
Hat Kid nodded, making a picture of her space rocket to show that it was her vessel, and that she needed the time capsules to use as fuel, with Dry Bowser rubbing his bony chin with one of his skeletal hands.
"So you need to find these magical hourglasses to power your ship so that you can go home?" Dry Bowser murmured as he turned to Toadette and Petey, who nodded their heads as he shrugged and turned back to Hat Kid. "All right, we'll help out. Maybe we can figure out how to get out of here."
Hat Kid jumped joyfully as she pointed at the wooden planks hanging above the beach, jumping above them as she did some platforming. Dry Bowser, Toadette, and Petey followed as they jumped after her, with Petey deciding to just fly up by flapping his leaves. Silver The Hedgehog arrived at the spot of where the group was before, looking confused as he had several boxes of pizzas in his hands.
"Am I... left out again...?" Silver sighed in annoyance as he shook his head. "Ugh... I hate it when this happens."
