Time and time again people are chosen to go on quests. Every single time they are told only three people can go. However, there are some exceptions. For example, Percy, Thalia, Zoë, Bianca and Grover. All five went on the same quest, but only three made it back. Bianca died in the land without rain. Zoë perish by a parent's hand. Three is the lucky number. Five was unlucky. No other quest was documented where more than five people worked together to complete the task.
Until now.
Thirteen is a number of which most people find unlucky. How can this be true? What people miss is the fact there are thirteen Olympian gods. In fact, fourteen, if you think about it. Zeus, God of the Sky. Hera, Goddess of Marriage and Family. Poseidon, God of the Sea. Demeter, Goddess of Nature and the Seasons. Athena, Goddess of Wisdom. Apollo, God of Music and the Sun. Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt and the Moon. Ares, God of War. Aphrodite, Goddess of Love. Hephaestus, God of Fire and the Forge. Hermes, the Messenger of the Gods. Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth. Dionysus, God of Wine. Hades, God of the Dead. Zeus, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Apollo, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hermes, Dionysus and Hades all have mortal children. There is nothing to stop Hera or Hestia, apart from their sworn virginity, which can easily be broken. Artemis has the Hunt to represent her. But that leaves us with fourteen, so how do we get to our number? Well, he just get rid of Hestia. She gave away her thrown on Olympus to Dionysus, so she can just, well, go. So, then we have the twelve Olympian gods and Hades. Why isn't Hades included in those twelve? I will never know... But, for the story I am about to tell you, he will be included, so we have our unlucky thirteen.
So, thirteen unlucky demigods are about to be discovered. What's even more strange about this scenario is they already know each other. Even before they find out they were demigods. They all went to the same school, which is rare for demigods. You will find out more about them and there past later on, but, for now, enjoy the story. While you can...
