Apache Love
Author's Note: Hello everyone, this is my first iCarly fic and I hope you guys like it. Some of you might be confused by the title and I want you to know that I'm not referring badly to any Native American group. It's actually a Spanish saying that my mom tells me when she gives me a pat on the back and I complain, "Es amor apache!" It means that while it might be rough or hurt a little it's still love. I was thinking of this saying when I was watching an iCarly episode and it inspired this.
Summary: He isn't a masochist. He doesn't suffer from suicidal thoughts; so he can't understand why he let's her walk all over him. Abuse him. Why he, takes the blame for everything. And Sam's only answer is, "Apache love, baby!"
Freddie Benson is not an idiot. He's learned through tough experience that girls are complex creatures.
His mom is a perfect example. So overprotective, as if she can't exist without being aware of his every action and reaction. Sure, she annoys him sometimes but she his mother and he will always love her.
Carly is another great example. He follows her around like a lost puppy for years; desperately trying to get glimpses at her from his peephole and working his butt off to help her in everything she needs. And he suffers through all her crushes and boyfriends because she's the "love of his life," and he would do anything for her. And then one strange day, he saves her life, and she falls in love with him. And he's happy because, finally, all his years of waiting actually made a difference. But the blonde she-devil plants that doubt in his mind and he wonders if having Carly's love is worth the pain that hero worship would bring. So he breaks up with her.
And through it all he learns that while he loves Carly, he was never really in love with her. And just like that, they both move on.
Freddie Benson is not a masochist. And so he doesn't understand why Sam Pucket has such a strong hold on his life.
He understands his mom, he is genetically wired to love his mom.
And who wouldn't love Carly! She's the nicest person he knows, even when she can't seem to tell no to her best friend.
But Sam, Sam is a mystery.
He doesn't hate her. Which is surprising because all she does is hit him, insult him, and ridicule him each time she had the chance. But he just can't!
He doesn't really like her because ,after taking the blame for almost all of her pranks like the bullhorn incident, he can't really be expected to enjoy her person.
But he does enjoy her company, which is weird! But he can't help it. She makes him laugh, because "Momma" is funny even when she's mean. And she's caring, even when she hurts him. And she's protects, even when she enjoys hurting.
And sometimes he wonders if he loves her because why else would he put up with her. After all he isn't and idiot, or a masochist, or suicidal. And yet there he is, letting her do all the things she does to him. Only complaining and doing nothing against her.
And so one day he ask her. Why she picks on him? Why him? Why does he let her?
And in a way that is all Sam, she gives him a side smile and says, "Apache love, baby!"
Freddie Benson isn't an idiot. But sometimes, he is a terribly confused boy.
Author's Note: Hello everyone. So I hope you liked it and I'm sorry if my spelling is off. This is the first none Harry Potter story I've written so it's kind of new experience for me. I know it's kind of confusing but then so is love. And so is Sam and Freddie's relationship. Anyway, I hope you like and review. And know that I'm a Seddie fan. Thanks for reading.
