Niley Songfic-You Belong With Me

It was Tuesday night and Nick Grey was on the phone to his girlfriend Selena.

Phone Convo

N: Selena it was a joke I didn't mean it

S: Nicky, it was mean, why would you say that?

N: Well I'm sorry if you don't have a sense of humour *Hung Up*

Nick looked over at his window and saw his best friend Miley Stewart dancing to his favourite Elvis Costello Song. He looked at her jumping up and down on her bed dancing and using her hairbrush as a microphone and singing along. He Laughed at the sight before him.

Miley was at Nick's football game, he was the captain, watching him play, he scored the winning touchdown, and ran up to his team mates then up to Selena and kissed her. Miley loved Nick even though she was his best friend. Selena always wore short skirts and was head cheerleader and Miley was just Miley she wore T-shirts. She watched from the bleachers dreaming about when Nick would notice he belonged with her.

Miley was sitting on a bench thinking when Nick walked up to her in his worn out jeans, which Miley loved.

N: *Smiles* Hey

M: Hey

N: What's up?

M: Usual, you?

N: Same

M: You okay?

N: Yeah

Miley and Nick joked around. Miley was laughing and thinking this is how it ought to be. She noticed Nick's genuine smile. She hasn't seen that smile for a while since he started dating Selena.

Just as they were both getting into their convo Selena pulled up in her convertible wearing the usual Mini skirt and tight top.

N: Well bye Miles

M: *Forced a smile, disappointed he has to go* Bye Nick

Nick got in the car and as soon as he did Selena pulled in into a kiss then smirked at Miley and drove off.

Tonight was the night of the formal.

Miley got a text from Nick

Text: Look out your window (=

Miley looked up to see Nick standing at his window in his tux.

Nick held up a piece of paper that read : You going tonight?

Miley shock her head and found paper and wrote: No studying, I don't have a date.

Nick sighed and wrote: Lucky, I wish I didn't have to go.

Miley laughed and replied: Wish I could go.

Nick laughed and wrote: Sorry g2g pick up Selena

Miley sighed in disappointment and nodded and waved as he got up and left his room.

Miley decided that she was going to tell Nick how she felt, she got up and went to her closet and pulled out the dress her mum made her buy before she knew she didn't have a date.

She sighed as she put it on, curled her hair and applied make up.

She went downstairs, got in her car and drove the her school. She was filled with doubt as she got closer to school. What if he didn't like her in that way, would they still be friends?. She was in love with him.

Miley pulled up to the school, she walked into the gym and saw that all eyes where on her including Nick's, she blushed and looked down, she made her way over to Nick.

M: Nick, I have to tell you something

N: What Miles, what's wrong?

M: *Deep breath* I don't think we can be friends

N: *Disappointed and shocked* W-why?

M: Because...I'm in love with you

Nick smiled his genuine smile and pulled her into a kiss, Miley kissed back and Nick deepened it.

S: Urghh! * Walked off*

Nick pulled back

N: I love you too

Miley Smiled and kissed him again.
