A/N I made this for school last year, and thought that I could put it on fanfiction! I mean, why not? So please, R&R, but I will absolutely NOT have FLAMES! So, NO FLAMES!

Remember the Titans Conflicts

For the last couple of days, I have beem watching Remeber the Titans. There are many

conflicts in this movie. The main conflict is that a white school, and a black school are going to

merge, and not one person is happy about that. Everybody is fighting and protesting, and the

whites and blacks don't want to be anywhere near each other. Even though nobody likes the

idea of it, the school still goes on. In the beginning, nobody gets along, but since the football

players have already been together for the whole summer, and are friends, when people notice

them together, people of both races start to become friends, because everyone loves football. I

agree with the way this conflict is solved because, nobody should be judged on the way they

look. It's what's on the inside that counts.

Another conflict that breaks out is, Coach Boone is going to become the new school football

coach, and he is black. Coach Yost, the old football coach, is white, and will lose his job. None

of the whites are happy with that, and on the day of the first meeting, all of the whites, and Coach

Yost barge in, but Coach boone yells at Coach Yost. In the end, Coach Yost decides to be

the defensive coach, and they become friends. I think that they solved this problem well,

because now everybody is satisfied. Both Coach Yost, and Coach Boone get to be coaches.

Talking about conflicts, once I got in a big fight with my cousin. We both wanted to be the

same part in a play that we were going to recite for our parents. the week before, we had

decided who was going to be who, and I was going to be the director. The next week, when my

family got to our grandparent's house, my cousin's were practicing the play, and one of them was

doing my part. I told her that we had already choosen that that was my part, and she told me

that didn't think that my family was coming. In reply, I told her that they shouldn't even be doing

the play if we weren't there, so she ran off, and didn't do the play. If I could go back in time,

instead of telling her that they shouldn't be doing the play, I should of asked her if we could share

the part. From my experience, I have learned that you need to give everyone a chance before

you turn them down.
