To remember is to feel…
Castiel prods the Winchesters towards a case that he himself can't handle. Sam figures out that Castiel was once human even though Castiel denies it over and over.
I do not own this show but should be able to buy stock in it.
He could remember what it was like. The smile, the laugh she had. He didn't need to be there watching her live her life without him. He saw how she had struggled to go on without him, unaware that it was his destiny to go and help others. He hadn't been that old when he chose, rather Uriel chose for him. However, in Angel years it was eternity. In Human years only five years. He had seen the pictures she had through out their house. Even the new clippings of that night were in a picture frame.
He looked away when she smiled at his human charge, funny how something like a friendly smile to a handsome man could still make him wince, with a mortal sin such as jealousy. He looked back to see Sam Winchester walking back towards him with his brother.
"Okay, so Amanda Willis, 29 has lived there for 10 years. She just started to notice strange things happening. Her husband died five years ago. She doesn't think it is him" Sam told the regal being before him.
"What do you think it is?" Castiel asked him, trying to sound uncaring as usual. He saw Dean glance at him. "What" he snapped.
"Nothing, it's just odd that you gave us this job, it's almost like a vacation for us. We just have to get a little research done –salt and burn".
"Dean, it is all part of the bigger plan, even though it seems like a simple task" Castiel told him, as he decided he would leave the boys to do their job.
Dean turned once more to the angel but Castiel was already gone. He looked over at his brother "So which one of us is going to go back tomorrow and talk to Amanda?"
"I'll go back today, people open up to me more that you, what with my doe eyes and all " Sam said as a matter of factly .
Dean only chuckled at his brother's answer. Sam was right some women opened up more to Sam due to his sensitive side and understanding.
"Okay then I'll go to the library and check out the house, maybe it's a magnet to weird crap"
Sam looked at his older brother.
"And I'll stop for food. I know, I know all we have is bread" Dean smirked.
"Um not even that Dean." Sam quipped back.
More later …
