Setting: Sometime in S9/10, soon after S & J have gotten together.
A/N: I may add other little scenes to this if they come into my head.
Jack woke up slowly. He was cuddled up to a warm body, wrapped in the blankets, and feeling very satisfied. He pulled the body closer, snuggling up to it and sleepily opening his eyes.
Sam was lying on her back, staring at the ceiling of the cabin. His body was wrapped around hers, her arms hugging his shoulders.
"Mornin'," Jack greeted her.
She smiled, bringing one of her hands up to brush through his hair. Her eyes remained on the ceiling. He manoeuvred the top half of his body slightly and kissed her collarbone. Her hand stroked through his hair. He hummed sleepily against her skin.
He glanced up at her. She was still looking at the ceiling, with an odd look on her face. It was almost dreamy, and definitely made him think that a fair chunk of her mind wasn't in the room with the rest of her.
"Watcha thinkin'?"
Sam let loose a slow smile, "I've just figured out how to do double the output of the Naquada generators."
Jack frowned. She was in bed with him and was thinking about Naquada? He sighed.
He rolled away from her. "Well," he said, swinging his legs over the edge of the bed, "guess the honeymoon's over."

Sam watched him saunter towards the bathroom, not bothering to put any clothes on.
He only had himself to blame. He had asked after all.
She should probably have made something up, but he'd known what he was getting into when they started seeing each other. And his casual manner as he left the room told her that he wasn't all that bothered anyway.
She smiled to herself. God, she loved that man, and loved how honest she could be with him.
She returned her gaze to the ceiling and her smile widened. She couldn't wait to get her hands on a Naquada reactor.
.fin.
A/N: I got my inspiration for this from this comic here: xkcd . com/69/ (stupid ff. Just take out the spaces.)
