"The Bad Privilege"
"Greg, you're going to be late!" Greg's mom yelled. "I'll be down in just a minute, so don't rush me! "Said Greg. Even though he still didn't get on time for any swimming class from the beginning of the school year, he is still not in a hurry. Greg's mom have the women's dance class, so Greg has to sit in his brother Rodrick's van. Greg would rather run three miles but not sitting on Rodrick's van because Rodrick never let him sit in the front row but in the trunk. All the drums for Rodrick's band banged and crashed on Greg's head when the van as driving, but this is the only choice to choose if he don't want to walk 5 miles every Saturday to the class that he doesn't like.
Finally to the swimming class. There was a new student called Bill. His mom wanted him to be strong, but he's as skinny as a stick, and he is only tall to a normal boy's hip, so everyone called him "Billy baby". In swimming class there was a swimming race. Greg has no hope to win. In the race last time, when the others are all finished with the race, he is still in the middle of the swimming path squeezing his nose. So from that day, every one is not hurry in the race because they will be at least the second last. From today's race, every one made a farther look of Bill, because he is the first place and broke the fastest time the fastest swimmer Oliver did in their class before. Greg is still so slow in his class, but the surprise is, he beat the student that is always just 10 seconds faster than himself, Joshua.
This thing made Greg's parents super happy, so they let Greg have the privilege to choose what they will do today. Rodrick told Greg if he don't make a party that high school students can also come, he will tell all the people in the school that Greg is writing diaries like girls. Greg think that people will laugh at him, so he answered what his brother asked for. The party is terrible as Greg thought like. The people in Rodrick's class all came, and made their home a big mess. The good thing is, Greg still can ask Roderick to stop the party. His dad please Greg to stop this party or their home will become a "chicken's nest". Greg told all his problems to his dad.
Greg's dad said: "Don't be afraid of any thing other people say if you think you did it right. Diary is a nice thing to write. When I'm small, I write diaries too. The things you are shy of is just your own thought." Greg thought about what his dad said and stopped the party. Rodrick got punished because he used his brother's weak part to threat him. Greg now had less mental pressure in the things other people say about him.
