Violin notes swung and twirled around her as she held her now husband in her arms; joy sparked somewhere from her chest to her belly, and she didn't mind really when her husband whispered in her ear a playful joke or when she burst into laughter, trying to keep somewhat quiet before everyone stared at them as if they were weird. Just being here with him felt like perfection even as he dipped her in the way that they'd been practicing so long just for this night, and as the violin pulled to a close.
Everyone clapped around them, and Rose fought the urge to pull away from Luka and curtsy, because she knew that wasn't what one did in this situation. It's hard to not do so when everyone's clapping for you, and she couldn't resist a bright smile as her best friend came down to join them. There was no piano tonight even if that was less than traditional on their part, but they just wanted to hear Juleka play violin and play her own spectacular part in this wedding. When your best friend marries your brother, you get the biggest role that they can find for you.
Juleka's black and purple dress spun around her as she moved closer to them, "Congratulations. You, two, definitely deserve to be happy." She tucked her dyed hair back, and Rose wondered if the promise ring on her best friend's finger will get a whole new meaning soon or if Juleka's boyfriend was too nervous to actually pop the question despite dating her for five years now. Rose just hoped that he'd give her the world in love and support, that he'd make her undeniably happy every day of her life; Juleka deserved that much and may be even more than that.
"Thank you." Rose curtsied now, "I'm hoping that you'll catch the flowers later on." Honesty could be sweet, and Rose loved all things sweet.
Juleka waved it away with a blush, "Nah, I don't think Nath's going to propose anytime too soon. He's busy with his artwork and the recognition he's just received, and I still have to finish up my novel."
"My little sis deserves to be happy too." Luka reached out and hugged Juleka close, "Don't lose sight of happiness by worrying too much over anything else."
"Oh, you're my sister now! I'm so excited, and really, as my one and only sister, you deserve to be happy." Rose gushed as she hugged her brand new sister-in-law.
"Thanks. But we still have some time left." Juleka shrugged before she moved on to talk to someone else or may be go find her soon to be fiancee if he ever did propose.
Rose may or may not have tossed the bouquet right into Juleka's hand, and her husband may or may not have deliberately tossed the garter right into Nathanael's hands, but either way, it was probably about time.
Adrien and Marinette might have cheered extra loud for the two when they each caught what was aimed straight at them, but Rose figured as the first two of their friends group to get married, weddings might seem even more exciting for Adrien and Marinette Agreste. Alya's mild, playful frustration at not catching the bouquet since she was actually engaged to Nino right now wasn't really as big of a deal as she pretended it was.
Rose just wanted her new sister to be happy, and she was sure that she wasn't the only one that wanted that. Luka's steady hold on her hand and the way that his eyes met her own definitely told her that much. Her husband wanted his sister to be happy just as much as Rose did. Happiness bubbled through Rose's heart with a ferocity that would not soon go out. Her joy was palpable.
