Hey people! I just got my hair cut and got an AMAZING idea. (No, the idea does not relate to my VERY cute hair.) Here it goes. And also i don't feel completely good about this but tell me what you think.
Disclaimer: Does it look like my pen name is Stephenie Meyer? No? Ha. Didn't think so.
Jasper POV
God! Could you, for once, stay still!, I thought as I watched Alice squirm, trying to get comfortable on the couch in our family's living room. You'd think reading would be an activity she could sit still for, but no. She decides to make it hard for me to draw her.
She moved again so I readjusted myself and my sketch pad so I could get her outlined. She stopped moving for a minute or so, and i took this opportunity to draw her. I kept looking up every so often but she still hadn't moved. It seems she was engrossed in the book she was reading.
"Hey, Alice?" I asked her, while striking my pencil down in hard fast streaks to make her hair.
"Hmm?" She asked me, turning the page of her book.
"What are you reading?"
She briefly looked up at me. "Just something Bella gave to me. She told me it would be good."
"And?"
She laughed, "And it's terrific."She smiled at me. "What are you drawing?"
I looked at my drawing, it was almost done. I needed to shade her features a bit more, but that was it. "Just... Drawing. You know, my usual stuff."
"I wouldn't know what "usual stuff" is." She air quoted. "I've never seen you're drawings."
I looked away from her and frowned. Only because you're too blind to see I love you. I thought. If you knew, god, I'd show you everything I've drawn. Which really, is only you.
"What?" She put the book down on the coffee table. "What did I do? Was it something I said?"
"No." I told her, "I'm fine Alice, really." I gave her a fake smile.
"No you're not. God, Jasper, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you sad. I don't need to see your drawings." She looked down and played with her hands. "Just don't be sad."
"How could you be so blind?"
"What?"
I got up. "I said: How could you be so blind?"
"Jasper-"
I held up my hand to stop her. "Alice, how could you not see how in love with you I am?"
She stuttered. "Jasper, how could I be so blind? How could you be so blind?"
I cocked my head to the side. "Wait- what?"
She threw her hands up in the air. "God dammit! Jasper! I'm in love with you! I just never brought it up because I thought you liked someone else!"
"W-w-what?"
We stared at each other for a few seconds more. "How did I miss that?" I asked myself.
She got up and walked towards me, shaking her head and laughing to herself. "Yea, how did you miss that? Or better yet, how did I miss the memo that you liked me?"
We looked at each other.
"How in love with me are you?" She whispered.
I dropped my sketchbook. "Deeply, madly, and passionately, in love with you." She reached for my hand and I gave it to her, then pulled her close to me.
"We are such idiots." she mumbled into my chest.
I tilted her face up so she was looking at me. "Yes, but at least we finally found out."
And then, I did what I felt was right. I kissed her.
