"Mummy, mummy!" shrieked three-year-old Lavender, running into her parents' bedroom. "Sing me my song!"

Mrs. Brown smiled fondly at her daughter and began to sing: "Lavender's blue, dilly dilly…" She waved her wand and Lavender turned blue. The delighted toddler held up her hands in front of her face and giggled.

"Lavender's green…" She waved her wand again and Lavender turned green. Lavender ran to the mirror to look delightedly at her green face.

"When I am king, dilly dilly…" a crown appeared on Mrs. Brown's head.

"you shall be queen." A final wave of her wand and Lavender was back to normal, with a crown on her head. Lifting the crown up and holding it above her head, Lavender twirled happily around until she got dizzy and ended up sitting on the floor grinning and laughing.

"All right, munchkin," Mrs Brown said scooping up her daughter, "let's go make breakfast."
