Thinking back on it now, Guy wondered if he really was lonely.
And the answer came just as quickly as he had thought it: yes, it was very lonely indeed.
Even so, it wasn't that he was physically alone. No, he had his Majesty and Jade to spend his time with while he continued to live in Grand Chokmah. Sometimes, he went to visit Tear because it felt like it was something he had to do and wanted to do. Letters were sent to Natalia and Anise as well, so he wasn't lonely in the sense that someone would consider.
Yet...
'You're being stupid.'
It was lonely, however, that didn't derail Guy. He couldn't let believe that Luke just disappeared. It didn't sit well with him and this was Luke they were talking about.
This often led him to keeping his eyes forward.
It was those moments that he stopped and glanced back at the past and wondered if there had been any sort of way to change things. If he had taken a slightly different path, would things still have turned out they way they did?
Would Luke still be here?
It was the self-doubt that got to Guy. He hated thinking that Luke would never come back. That the day he and the others left him on Eldrant, that they were never going to see him again.
Yes...it was very lonely being a servant without a master.
AN: It's 6am, why did I do this one-shot that makes little sense? Also, I am so not procrastinating my other stories...nope.
