Lucy had given up. Every day was the same, going to the office, greeting coworkers with a fake smile, working, going home, eating, sleeping and then the next day would start again from waking up and leaving for work. After her mother's death Lucy had left home to get away from the man that she used to call father and became a secretary locking up my keys. Nothing interesting happened and facing reality nothing interesting would happen that is until she met Natsu.

Lucy's POV

I hastily stuffed down a crude breakfast that consisted of a banana and a glass of orange juice before rushing out the door only to remember I had forgotten to lock my door. When I finally got to work I was 20 minutes late. As I rushed into the office I bumped into my friend, literally, the coffee she was holding tipped onto the folders I was carrying and we both fell.

"Sorry Lucy!" screamed Azzy as the hot liquid spilled onto the folders and my hands. Luckily the liquid was not too hot and did not burn me but the papers inside the folders were now soaking wet and an odd brownish colour. Today was so not my day.

"Its fine Azzy" I replied while rubbing her hands and folders with the handkerchief produced from Azalea's (Azzy) pocket. Looking down at the ruined papers I wanted to slump down and cry. Months of hard work ruined. Three of the folders I could easily get another copy but the final and most important folder was hand written. What do I do?

I returned to my desk, sat down with a sigh and started on the stack of paper work that littered my desk. A picture of my mother sat near a couple of magazines that tempted me, the magazine on the top happened to be one with an article on Fairy Tail with pictures. When I was young I had aspired to be in Fairy Tail but now it had the importance of a distant dream that I once had.

A couple of hours had passed and I found myself getting increasingly depressed when a lot crash interrupted the monotony of my daily life. Someone had broken through the front door and beaten all guards at the entrance. Azzy and I were staring across the room of the second level at each other in confusion when a loud crash came from behind me. I turned around and gasped as I came face to face with the handsome salmon haired boy who had burst through the wall. The mark of Fairy Tail was tattooed on his arm. "Salamander?" I whispered under my breath.
