"Hault! I am an official guardian of the school! Show yourself!" Yuki demanded.

Zero walked out from the shadows, with his usual expression. "It's me, Yuki," He said, annoyed. His normally purple eyes were a deep color of red. 'Almost like... Blood,' Yuki thought to herself.

"Oh. Zero, what are you doing out, it's almost midnight! You don't need to be patroling right now," Her voice trailed off, still looking at Zero.

"I... wasn't doing anything," He said, his voice cracking. "Actually I was just on my way back to the dorm."

"Be careful on your way back," Yuki said, in her usual protective character.

"Yuki... I need to talk to you. Please, follow me," Zero said, just as serious as ever. Zero stepped closer, and Yuki stepped back.

"Zero, I have to be on patrol," Yuki said. "I'm sorry, but it's my job as a Guardian." Zero's eyebrows pressed together.

"Yuki, how often do people come out of their dorms at 11:56? I'm sure you could take a few minutes. I just want to talk," Zero said, now start-
ing to drag Yuki by her arm.

Yuki opened her mouth, as if to fight back, but then said nothing. She started walking along side with Zero in silence, until they got to the Chairman's building and into her room.

Zero closed the door and locked it, and then turned around to face Yuki. Her face was bright, with an innnocent smile on her face. "So, what was it you wanted to talk about?" Yuki asked, still smiling wide.

Zero walked closer to Yuki, until their faces were just inches away from eachothers. 'Yuki...' He thought.

"You.. You don't need to care for me so much," Zero started. "I'm going to die either way, and you know it's true. I want you to worry about yourself, not me."

Yuki's smile flattened. "Zero," she said. "I will... always care for you. Now matter what. I'm sorry, but I just can't stop. You're like a brother to me!" Yuki smiled again.

'Like a... Brother..?' Zero thought. He looked down. "Yuki... I..." He faced back up. His teeth peirced through Yuki's neck, his lips cold as ice.

"Zero..." Yuki stammered through breaths. "You're... You're hurting me..." She squinted.

Suddenly, Yuki pushed Zero away. "Zero!" She shreiked. "What's wrong with you?!"

Zero breathed deeply, not responding. "I... I'm sorry, Yuki," he started. "You need to stop letting me do this. It's come down to the point as to where I'm hurting you."

"Zero, for as long as you need I'll let you do this. You..." Yuki's voice was intterupted as Zero drew closer to Yuki. Suddenly, Zero placed his icey lips on top of Yuki's. The few seconds ticked by until eventually, Zero pushed back. Yuki stood there in shock, while Zero straightened out.

"Z-Zero..." She whispered, not nearly loud enough for him to actually hear.

Zero stepped out, while Yuki stayed there in shock. 'Did he just... Kiss me?' she thought. Yuki's heart was pounding a mile a minute, and she could still taste blood on her lips from Zero.

'He did... Zero...'
