Dear gentlefriends, a quick note from the author; I am re-writing this story, the plot was messy and badly written. If there is anything that doesn't make sense, or a grammar fault somewhere, don't hesitate to tell me.

-DISCLAIMER- I do not own any of the characters except for Rose. Rose is an original character.

She woke at dawn, just like any other day. The room was dark, and even though she could see just fine she kept her eyes shut and enjoyed the sounds around the house.

She could hear some early birds chirping and the rustling of a breeze flowing through the leaves of the trees.

She knew, if she'd concentrate just enough, she'd be able to hear the flowers open, and the bees and butterflies around them fly.

Instead, she rose and took a shower.

After she dried her hair and put her lenses in, she chose the clothes she was going to wear for that day. She chose a pair of jeans and a sweater; the things that covered most of her white skin.

She looked in the mirror and saw a girl, looking younger than her years, with a pale, almost sick white skin. Her dark, almost black hair and now brown eyes made it even worse.

She put her hair up in a messy bun, a few strings of hair still hanging around her face. As she walked down the dark stairs to the living room she could hear how quiet it was in the house, only a few mice scrambling for crumbles in the cupboards.

She quickly drank her breakfast, didn't even bother to get it out of the bag; she just drank straight from it. She packed her bag and went on her way to school.

It was quite a long walk to the High School of Storybrooke, but she enjoyed it. It was quiet and peaceful. She enjoyed all the life around her, to see birds flying and chirping and flowers bloom.

The closer she got to the centre of the town the busier it became. More people walked on the streets, some children played on the playground before they went to school. A dog barked at her and a cat shied away, hissed. People opened their shops and went in and out of Granny's.

When she finally arrived at the school she had only a few minutes left until the lessons began.

She rushed through the halls, trying to make her way through all the people in the lunch break. She was on her way outside when she bumped into someone. She felt a strange, small shock, followed by a tingling feeling that shot through her body.

She turned around to see who it was, seeing the other had done so as well. Their eyes locked for a moment, confused about what just happened. His eyes were a perfect dark chocolate brown, so deep she could drown in his ocean.

The weight of her backpack and the hunger were what brought her back to reality.

She turned around and rushed outside, eager to drink her lunch, satisfy the hunger that was starting to burn through her self-control and forget what just happened.
