PLEASE REVIEW, PEOPLE!!!
It's short, but it's kinda sad (unrequited Kanji X Naoto) and sweet (Naoto X Rise) at the same time, so whatever!
Based somewhat after the song 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol.
Rise let out a heavy sigh as she buried her face into Naoto's chest, taking in her scent. The two girls were lying together in an embrace on a grassy hill, watching as the snowy-white clouds passed quickly overhead. They were far away from all the noise, all the troubles of society. Now, it was just the two of them, and no one else. For that very moment, neither girl wished for anything more than to be with each other.
For that very moment, they completely forgot about the world around them, focusing only on one another.
"Rise...?"
"Yes, Naoto...?"
A tiny bird flew by, chirping a sweet song as it went. The clouds cast vast shadows upon the two young women, and a slight breeze blew across the plain. Naoto couldn't help keeping a smile from spreading out on her face.
"...I love you..." she whispered.
Rise smiled as well, nuzzling her lover gently. "I love you too, Naoto..."
Still smiling broadly, Naoto reached down and kissed Rise lovingly on the forehead. Rise returned the kiss with one of her own, but this one was on Naoto's lips.
Not too far away, Kanji watched his two friends in silence, his expression empty. He felt a strange discomfort in his chest, and his eyes seemed to be slightly unfocused. Nodding slightly to himself, he spun around on his heel and began to depart, not looking back even once.
'I guess I'll just have to accept it...I wish you both the very best in your relationship, Naoto and Rise...'
Looking rather peaceful themselves, Souji, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko and Teddie seemed to have been waiting for Kanji to finish whatever business he had. Together, they all walked away, none of them able to say a word.
'...I love you, Naoto,' Kanji thought, 'But...as long as you're happy...that's all I can really wish for...'
Kanji wiped his face into his sleeve. He didn't want anyone to see him cry...
