Carlisle kills Edward
Edward entered the Cullen household at 3:00am. Carlisle was waiting for him in the armchair.
"You're very late," said Carlisle.
"I'm sorry," said Edward.
"You've said that too many times in your life, son," said Carlisle.
Edward hung his head in shame.
"There's blood all over your clothes," said Carlisle coolly.
Edward was shocked.
"I was hunting," said Edward.
"Hunting what?" asked Carlisle, raising one eyebrow.
"A... deer," said Edward randomly.
"I know human blood when I smell it," said Carlisle. "And don't bother weaseling your way out of it. Alice had already foreseen it." He looked like he was sad and furious at the same time. "Why did you have to kill that poor girl?"
"But I'm a vampire," said Edward, "I couldn't quell the monster within me."
"Why didn't you leave for good? You could've saved her life. You shouldn't have exposed us," said Carlisle. "Well, you know what I have to do."
"Give me a lecture?" asked Edward.
"No," said Carlisle. He yanked Edward by the shoulder and thrusted him over his back, and then ran off into the woods.
"Stay here," ordered Carlisle. He held out a box of matches, and lit them all. Edward didn't move. Carlisle tossed the lit matches on Edward. Edward's screams could be heard as far as Port Angeles.
The Cullens were never heard from again.
