As He Wakes The Death
It's almost an uncanny desire.
As he wakes the death of the love of his life, he is no longer in a peaceful universe.
He seems to see what he has finally lost, and finally gained.
As he reaches over the mahogany casket and places his palm on top he can not stop the tears to come, but quickly blinks them away, not wanting anyone to see.
It's truly a sick joke.
It was unknowing to him, but she was pregnant by a man who was said to loving her.
Who desired his every will and need to her.
They were a family, and he was the side note, just like she soon became in his family.
He was married to a women, who had loved him his whole life, and even though he loves her too, it seems that his love for her will never reach the kind of love he had felt for the fallen lifeless beauty.
He had children of his own, a family, a life. He parted his ways from his group of friends to explore life with them.
And when he finally got told that, his hidden love was truly devastated that he had forgotten her, his heart broke all at once, and pieces of shattered glass came across the floor.
A true mirror of what his fallen heart looked like at that very moment.
He surly had never forgotten her though, never being able to hide his smile when her name came across his phone, or moan her name when he was alone, in thought. Thinking of the past, when she was once in it.
Know one knew the pain he was feeling at this very moment. Know one understood his thought about this. For he had masked it away with the sadness of losing a best friend rather then a lost love.
Other's cried hard, strong, softly, while he had only a frown trace his lips besides that one moment of over exposed emotion.
She wasn't meant to die, for he believed that she was meant to live beyond all of them. To fight, and love for all of us.
She was meant to be the one to lead us into the future, to be happy with.
She was meant to dream and give hope to all of us.
And in the years she was alive she had done that.
She gave more hope in life then anyone he had ever known.
But he truly know's the silent truth: that he had given no hope to her; ever.
As a young adolescent, he had not known how strong her love really was. Blinded by the appearance, and fantasy of another human, who had the same emotions and wonderment has him, was captivating and enthralling.
He never knew that he had loved her so much until now.
Never knew that this love was real and not just a young teenage love story of just lust and broken promises and lost hope.
He never knew that this love could have been one of the greatest love stories, in century's to come.
He never knew until he was too late.
To late, until her death.

It was never suppose to be a Brooke and Lucas story, just a story I had brought to mind and started to write. But as I read it, I finally realized I was writing them.
And writing him, in realization of what was in his heart.
