Pein's Office
Pein was working of some paperwork when he heard a knock on the door. "Come in," he said. He expected it to be Konan with more paperwork, what he didn't expect to see were his twin little cousins standing in front of him. Sakura Haruno and Shuna Haruno.
"Pein," they said simultaneously. "We have a question." He nodded signaling for them to go on. "Ok, so say it's dark inside." Sakura started. "And"-
"It is always dark inside," he interrupted. Sakura shot him a look.
"Well ok fine. It's dark inside and you try to sneak up on me and or Shuna"-
"Why?"
"I was getting there! You sneak up on me and or Shuna to try and scare us. You succeed in doing so but I, Shuna, or the both of us punch you in the face. Would you be mad?" Sakura finished. Pein looked them both. Shuna looked like she was pulled of her bed. Her hair was pulled into a messy ponytail while Sakura's was nice and neat on the top of her head. Sakura looked like was up the whole time thinking about this. "Well would you?" Shuna spoke for the first time Sakura started talking. This pulled Pein out of his thoughts.
"Well, yes. I would be pissed." 'Wrong answer,' he thought. He could see both Shuna and Sakura's face light up with anger. "But why?" they yelled at him. "You're the one who scared us!" Sakura yelled. "So it's only fair we punch you!" Shuna also yelled at him. "That's not fair!" they yelled simultaneously.
"Life isn't fair," was his answer. And with that, he picked up his pen and started to fill out the paperwork that was forgotten when the twins came in. Said twins walked out the office fuming that their big cousin wouldn't take their side.
"Hidan said the same thing. Except, he started to cuss us out 'cause we interrupted his praying to his 'Jashin-sama' as he put it." Shuna said.
"Well at least he answered our question." Sakura replied, Shuna nodded and went for her and Sakura's room so she could go back to bed. "Where are you going?"
Shuna inwardly groaned. "Back to bed, and I have my reasons ready this time." Sakura raised one eyebrow. Shuna took this as a signal to continue. "It's not even noon. Hell! It's seven in the freaking morning! I'm not a morning person. I have a mission coming up with Itachi and Kisame. And knowing them, they won't slow down no matter what happens." Sakura listened to Shuna rant with closed eyes. She herself was a bit tired so she gave in. "Fine, just this once will I let you. Seeing how I have to get back to Konoha by two." Shuna nodded with excitement and raced towards her room, with Sakura just after her. Both girls jumped on their beds and in the sheet and covers. "See you at noon, Onee-chan?" Shuna said. "See you at noon, Imouto-chan." Sakura replied. Emerald and sea eyes closed at the same time and both girls turned opposite ways on the bed.
In the living room
Hidan walked into the living, having just finished his daily ritual to Jashin-sama. "Hey," he called out to the Akatsuki that was awake. Which was practically the whole group saves for the two girls and Tobi. The Akatsuki looked at Hidan telling him to go on. "Would you be mad, if you were trying to scare a person and they slapped you out of defense?"
"Why are we trying to scare them in the first place?" Kakuzu asked. Hidan shrugged, "The twins asked me this earlier." Kakuzu made a face and resumed watching T.V. Hidan shifted his weight to the other foot. "Well?"
"Well what you say?" Sasori asked. "Hell yeah I would be pissed! Who wouldn't?" Sasori shrugged and answered, "Well it was out of defense wasn't it? At least, they're sharp." "I would hit him back," Kisame spoke for the first time. Hidan thought about this then walked off. "What would you do, Itachi?" Kisame asked. Itachi looked at him then back at the T.V. before answering, "I wouldn't do it in the first place."
