Gibbs sat in his basement contemplating how to tell his wife that he had been unfaithful while in Israel on tour. He had spent the past nine months in Israel, and six of three of them had been spent having an affair with an Israeli guide; Ziva David.
The radio played in the background and he sighed hearing the lyrics

He groaned to himself, he did love Ziva, he loved her so much but he also loved his red-headed wife; Shannon.
Shannon descended the stairs after getting their first-born daughter to sleep, and moved towards her husband, wrapping her arms around him, she kissed him softly, "What's wrong?"
Jethro sighed, "I have to tell you something Shann" he said regrettably
Shannon smiled, "You know you can tell me anything, I love you and nothing will ever change that"
Gibbs sighed, "Your going to hate me Shan"
Shannon sat down on the bench and bit her lip, "Please just tell me Jethro" she asked desperately
Jethro took her hand, "I'm going to tell you something, but you have to know that I love you and always will"
The red-headed woman smiled and nodded, " Of course"
The Marine stood and paced slightly, "I had an affair"
Shannon dismissed it and laughed, "You couldn't have, you've been on duty"
Gibbs nodded, "There was an Israeli woman" he explained
Shannon looked as though her heart was shattering physically, her eyes filled with crystal tears as she begun to cry, "But but........"
Jethro bit his lip, "I'm really sorry"
Shannon ran her hand through her red curls, "Did you love her?"
Gibbs shook her head, "No, No I didn't, How can I love her when I love you ?"
Shannon nodded, "Is it over?"
Jethro nodded, "It should never have started, it is you I want to be with Shann, I love you"
The beautiful red-headed woman nodded, "I'm going to bed, your on the couch tonight"
Shannon went upstairs and climbed into bed sobbing, Jethro would be on the couch tonight, and the next night and the night after that.
They would go back to normal but it would take a while.
