Authors Note: At the moment this is only two chapters long. More will be added, and they will fit before, after, and between the current chapters. For those who have never heard the song, it is by Darryl Worley, a * gasp * country singer.

Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, their situations, or anything related to them other than the merchandise I spend my hard-earned money on. I am not making money off of them, and will give them back if asked nicely. Thank you, and have a nice day.

Dear Treize,

I know that this letter will probably never reach you, since our paths have diverged so much. Still, I want you to know that it killed me to push you away. I hope you can understand my reasons, but then you always did, sometimes even better than myself. We both know that a world where people can allow war to consume them is not a world in which people should live, we simply have different ways of creating peace.

I miss you terribly, and each day I have to remind myself of my reasons for joining White Fang. I wish with all my heart that those reasons did not keep us so far apart. Perhaps, when this is all over, we can regain our friendship, and everything else that this thrice-damned war has taken from us.

Eternally, Mirialdo

**I miss the look of surrender in your eyes

The way your soft brown hair would fall

I miss the power of your kiss when we made love

Oh but baby most of all

I miss my friend.**
