Hi! I wrote this for my sister. It will be fairly long. I know I said in ITHS that I would tell what Sam is in this story but I'm goning to wait a chapter or two to see if anyone votes on my poll. Just to be clear, Beck has been in the school for a year and used to go to another school with Jade. Enjoy.
Cat walked down the Hollywood Arts hallway, breathing in the great atmostsfere. She started to skip down the hallway towards Andre.
"Hey, Lil Red." he greeted as usual.
"Hey Andre. You know, one time, my brother called me Red once but that was the day he would only say colours names so I don't know if he was calling me that or trying to say something..." she trailed off, wondering why she didn't ask him the next day. Then she remembered that she couldn't talk because of her severe trought infection and she didn't want to talk to him anyways since he bit her foot. She forgot about it after that.
"Cat are you okay?" Andre asked, bringing her back to the present.
"What's that supposed to mean!"she yelled. Andre held up his hands in surender.
"I only meant that after you told that story you when quiet for, like, three minuts straight" he explained.
"Oh, kay kay." Cat said, back to her chirpy self. She never stayed mad at Andre for long (compared to her usual length of time she stayed mad at people). She knew he would never try to hurt her, they had been best friends for years. She had met him at the playground with some chick named Jade, she had never seen her again, but Cat had heard that she moved to the other side of L.A. Andre's grandmother turned out to be Cat's neighbour. Cat spent alot of time there with Andre and after Mrs. Hariss lost her mind, she trusted Cat and Andre the most. There was still a strong bond of understanding between Cat and Andre. They had watched a movie once and although Cat hadn't liked it in the end because it was scary, one phrase stuck with her that seemed to descibe why she and Andre were still friends. 'Sandbox love never dies.'
"So you still goin' to Tori's house for a sleepover for her birthday tonight?" Andre asked. Cat nodded and jumped up and down.
"It's gonna be soooooooooooooooooooo much FUN!" she squeuled happily.
"You know it."
Cat squeked in fear when she heard the voice behind her.
"Hey what's shakin' bacon?" Andre said.
"Nothing much" said the voice Cat now reconised as Tori."Hey Kitty-Cat."
"Hey Tor" Cat said, having recovered from her fright, giggling at Tori's nickname for her and at how she had shortened Tori's nickname. Tori was her other best friend. They always had the best time. She had come to the school two years ago and Cat had been happy to have a girlfriend to talk to,who would put up with her... quirks. Don't get her wrong, Andre listened to what she had to say and had put up with her quirks for years, but sometimes he wasn't very good at understanding her girl problems. He was good with other problems. She loved them both.
"So is there anything you want to say to me?" Tori asked while wagging her eyebrows and shaking.
"Nice shirt?" Andre questioned teasely.
"Silly Andre, she means..."Cat paused. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" she screamed happily.
"Dang girl, I think you brust my eardrums" Andre groaned.
Tori laughed, both at his groaning and at Cat's excitment, then said"Awww thanks Cat!" The redhead then squashed the taller girl in a bone-crushing hug.
"Dang girl, thats alot of strength in such a little body." Tori gasped out with a grin on her face.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Cat yelled.
"You're very strong and I love your hugs?"Tori said causiously with a hint of a questioning tone.
"Yaaaayy!" Cat squeled.
Tori laughed, then asked Andre if he was still coming over that night to watch a movie.
"Sure I am, wouldn't miss it but I have to get to my grandma's before ten or she'll have a fit, besides I don't think you guys would want a guy sticking around for too long on your girls night." he answered witha grin.
"Cause it's a girls night,
it's alright,
without you!" Cat belted out.
Tori giggled then joined in.
"I'm gonna stay out,
and play out,
without you!"
Then they sang together
"You better hold tight
Cause girls night's
without you!
Let's go, G.N.O!(ohh ohh!)
Let's go, G.N.O!(ohh ohh!)
Let's go, G.N.O, Let's gooooooooooooooo
It's a girl's night."
They then bust into giggles, occausionaly gasping out a lyric. Andre chuckled at their behavior."You know, normal people would have said ' It's nothing against you Andre, my parents wouldn't let you stay anyways. We can hang out some other time.' But you two had to sing about how you'd be alright without me."
That just made them laugh more.
"So what are you two gonna do at the sleepover?" Andre asked the girls once they had recovered from their giggle fit.
"After you've gone we'll watch a few chick flicks ,then recreate the funny nugget shows for laughs. Then we'll gossip but for once, because it's my birthday, Cat will let me make the main subjet that fine hunk over there that I'd like a birthday kiss from." Tori said, practiculy purring out the last part. Cat sighed and glanced towards the bad boy in question.
Beck Oliver was leaning against the wall next to the fire exinghisher with a smirk on his face that seemed to say that with him around they would need it. Dressed in a white t-shirt, black leather jacket and skin-tight jeans, he thought it would be because he was hot, which Cat had to grudgenly admit he was, but she thought if it did it would be more likely it would be because he was a hot mess, or because he had set the school on fire. Cat really wanted to wipe that smirk off his face because she hated it. It made girls fall for him and they all thought they could tame him. She was one of the only girl in the school who wasn't in love with him. He was cocky and arragont, he thought that he owned the school and that everyone else was beneth him. He got away with everything because the teachers were afraid of invoking the wrath of Helen, the princapal and Beck's guardian and because of his acting ability. This meant that the teachers took out their anger over his behaviour out on the other students. Cat hated getting yelled at and that had happened much more often since he had come to school.
Cat sometimes reacted badly to the fact he was rude to her, which only seemed to make him talk to her more. She hated that he brought out the mean streak, that she had thought deeply buried, out in her, but she couldn't help it. Tori sure wasn't going to say anything to 'His Hottness' (yes Tori had called him that).Neither was Andre because he wouldn't mess with the 'Alpha male' ,he didn't want to deal with the rep he would get, no matter which way it went. She was the only girl in the school who stood up for herself and who disliked him, but it was more than that.
She dispised him.
That's the first chapter!
