So, new story, new chance. maybe I'll get some rewievs now!
Here's a little information:
1. For some strange reason I've got a feeling that the last egg is green. I don't know why, but I'm VERY sure! Can anyone confirm or reject this?
2. As you probably have guessed, Communicaton between dragon and any other human, elf or dwarf is written in Italican.
3. Everything said in the ancient language is written in Bold.
4. This is my second story here on FF, and I really hope I'll get some rewieves this time!!
ENJOY!
Ealeni
She crept forward. The elf had not noticed her, or else he would've been dead. She knew that she would probably be discovered, but that was too bad for the elf patiently standing there shooting arrow after arrow into an old tree. Ealeni tensed as the elf walked towards her hiding spot to retrieve the arrows. His eyes were brilliantly blue, looking into the forest with a thoughtful expression.
They stopped right at the spot where Ealeni was hiding. He squinted, drew his sword and took a step forward. "Who's there?" he called in the ancient language. Ealeni had no choice but to reveal herself. She jumped forward, hoping to kill the elf at once, but he dodged sideways and was only knocked to the ground. The elf was up again in no time at all, but was so shocked by the sight of what had attacked him that he stood rooted on the same spot as the emerald-green dragon struck out with a taloned paw and skewered him. But he did manage to bring his sword down at the dragons shoulder before he died.
Ealeni limped to the edge of the clearing, and took off with a few mighty beats of her green wings.
Glaedr landed in the small clearing. Two elves were standing at one end, singing a sad song in the ancient language meant to sooth the spirit of the fallen elf. Oromis went over to the corpse, and bent down to examine it. "This was done by a dragon…" he let the thought trail off. Glaedr, come here and see this. Glaedr bent down to sniff at the blood on the elf's sword. This I cannot recognize. It is not Thorn nor Saphira or Shruikan. It is a new dragon. He said this so that all could hear. "Are you sure?" Oromis asked. Instead of answering Glaedr sent him the smell. It was nearly the same smell as Saphiras, but it made him think of great and mighty dragons soaring through the sky, free to do as they pleased with no connection to humans or elves.
A young, wild female dragon? But how is that possible? There were no eggs or dragons left after Galbatorix and the Forsworn hunted down the last rider! Oromis was shocked. They had been so sure. Eragon and Saphira were the last free dragon and Rider, except from them. Thorn and Murtagh were controlled by Galbatorix. And now a new dragon turned up out of the blue.
Oromis mounted Glaedr. We've got to find this wild dragon as fast as possible. The Varden needs all the help they can get, and who knows, maybe she can lead us to more dragons or eggs? The golden dragon flew up into the blue sky.
