SPOILERS BEFORE READING AUTHOR'S NOTE- Pretty obvious ones for 2x06, 'Never Been Kissed'. Haven't seen, don't wish to be spoiled, don't read.
Author's Note of Doom and Amazing-ness: Oh. My. Glee. So, I kinda loved 'Never Been Kissed'. Granted, the music was mediocre at best (I'm not going to go into the discourse several of my friends have heard about performing Bon Jovi like it was Britney), but the plotline! I'm not saying if I'm 100% Kurtofsky or Klaine yet, but I do believe Kurtofsky would be far more interesting plot-wise. Me and my plots. But yeah, this one's just kinda taking apart the psychology behind Karofsky moving in after he kissed Kurt the first time. After watching the scene in question a couple times (my motivations behind this will remain of my concern), it looked like Karofsky (can I call him Dave from here on? K'Thanks!) was trying to say something before Kurt ran off. This is my interpretation of it. I hope that we get a little more analysis from the producer's about Dave's real motivations, because I can't say I'm 100% sure/convinced he's gay or bi. As always, if you like, review; you never know when I might reward you with more.
Disclaimer: As much as I would like a share in GLEE, I can't say I own any part of it. I only own the work that you are about to read. Although I would like Kurt's clockwork bowtie…
Only
"It was only a kiss, how did it end up like this?"
He was going to apologize. He was going to explain himself. It seemed like the only thing he could do. Of course Kurt had every reason to fight back, to freeze, to push him away. He didn't even know why he kissed him. Maybe originally it was just to shut him up, hell, it worked with girls all the time, but kissing girls didn't feel like this. And yet, he felt sad when Kurt pushed him away and it made him run off. He had even wanted to apologize the next day, but Kurt bringing in the other guy? That just made it worse. It was too late; two bad decisions, one from each of them, and now it would never be the right time to apologize or explain himself. Maybe it was better that way. He needed to keep up his image, and if he was forced out of the closet (which he wasn't entirely sure he was in- after all, he had a girlfriend. Oh, no, what was she going to think about this? Should he tell her?), it would be impossible to maintain that image. And now, deep down, he knew that every time he bullied Kurt, the motivation behind it would change.
Endnote: I apologize if this isn't as good as some of my others. I just had the idea, and it had to get out there in the world, so this one wasn't put through my extensive editing process. I'd apologize for the shortness, but I really didn't have much to work with and didn't feel like a full psychoanalysis of a few seconds. I may be doing some more short ones in a series about all the people around Kurt when Dave was bulling him, depends on what y'all think. Feedback, good or constructive criticism, is always appreciated!
