"Alright everyone, they're ready," George shouted as he stepped back from the arrangement. He waved his wand then moved to stand among his family as the first box of explosives began firing fireworks into the sky.
Harry watched with a smile on his face and his arm around Ginny's shoulders as many bright lights filled appeared above his head. Tonight was the fifth anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, the night he had died and returned to fight, the night they had won.
He turned his head to the right at his two best friends, their hands entwined and their faces cast in a yellow glow. That night, he thought he would never see them again. That night, they proved that they would do anything for him. He would always be grateful them being there at his side throughout the years. Even when things looked bleak, they remained until the bitter end.
They looked down and met his gaze, both giving him a knowing smile. He extended a hand to Hermione, who grasped it and gave it a good squeeze. They too knew just how close things had been to losing everything and each other, but they had done it together. They had survived that night. They had been through hell and back and came out on the other side still the best of friends. Harry knew that if a Dark Lord couldn't tear apart their friendship, then nothing would.
