1. Lightning Bolt

The lightning bolt bled
and took his family away,
then scabbed and gave him friends.
2. Magic

Magic had alienated a child
from the warmth of blood
but tied strong adult knots.

Green eyes reflected much pity
in older, greyer eyes; his hair though
brought a different reaction
