It took me 17 minutes to write this one.
I used the prompt Balloons for the 100 stories under 100 words challenge.

Hannah wrinkled her nose. "Are you sure that balloons were a great idea…?"
"Yes!" Marietta said. "Cho loves balloons and all that sort of stuff!" She looked pleased with herself.
Hannah and Marietta stood by the bar. The whole room was filled with balloons in several different colors.
"How else would you celebrate a birthday…?"
"Oh, I don't know…"
"I've also made cake."
Hannah looked at Marietta with astonishment. "You have?"
"Yes, a chocolate one. Cho loves chocolate."
The door opened. "What weather!" Cho entered. Pouring wet.
Her eyes grew large. "You've done this?"
Cho kissed Hannah.
Marietta died inside.
