Hi there! This story is my first fanfiction. I got the original idea when I'm sitting for mid-year exam. It turned out that I got a good feed-back for the first time in my life. Then, my classmate pursue me to continue this story and that's when I decided to make an account here. Hope you guys enjoyed it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.

The day started off perfectly for Sakura. A beautiful sunrise appeared in the clear sky. She spread strawberry jam on her homemade french toast and poured a nice glass of orange juice. She enjoyed her breakfast before she went off to school.

Sakura glanced at the clock. It was already 8:25am. Her biology teacher should have shown up already. She started impatiently tapping her fingers on the desk and complained, "I can't believe he's late again!"

Ino, Sakura's best friend, was busy checking for any facial flaws through her mirror. "Oi forehead, you should get to used to it by now. You know he's always late."

By the time when Ino said that, Kakashi walked into the classroom. He noticed the amount of students who demanded an explanation. "Sorry guys, I'm late again."

"You see, I had an important meeting that required my presence." He organised the files on his desk. "Open your textbooks to page 237. We are going to learn a new chapter which is-"

"Human cells," Sakura finished his sentence.

"Correct." He grabbed a marker pen and started writing on the board.

She was focused, writing notes on every single word the teacher said about the topic. A firm knock on the door interrupted her education by stopping her teacher's lecture.

"Come in," he said.

A beautiful young woman entered the classroom and whispered into the teacher's ear. Nobody could hear what she said. As soon as sensei nodded, the lady walked away.

''Well, well, well... It looks like I have news for you guys; whether it's good or bad is up to you," Kakashi said with a hint of glee. He averted his eyes to each student, watching their reactions. "We have a new transfer student today, so please give him a warm welcome."

A boy entered the classroom with his hands in his pockets. His stride was filled with confidence. He stood beside the teacher and faced the students.

"Please, introduce yourself," Kakashi requested, crossing his arms with a book in hand. His smile never wavered under the mask as he leaned on his desk.

The boy's appearance stood out. All the girls blushed madly once they saw his handsome features. They whispered to each other about how his dark hair spiked up in a perfect way and how his onyx orbs held a mysterious aura.

On the other hand, Sakura couldn't care less and never stopped writing her notes. She was annoyed with how childish her classmates were; sighing dreamily and everything. Even her friends were swooned. He was just a human being, what was so special about him? She had to admit, he was the most attractive guy she had seen in her school, but it wasn't worth all the fuss. With all the commotion, she wouldn't be surprised if he already had his own fan club.

News of the new transfer student spread like wind throughout the entire school.

Everywhere Sakura went she heard gossip about the newcomer. No matter if she went to the cafeteria, library or restroom, there was always a conversation revolving around him.

"This is really frustrating!" She mentally cursed to herself, but decided it would be better if she just ignored the situation.

Time flew by quickly. It had been 2 weeks since the new guy arrived. She realised that she was the only one who hadn't spoken to him, let alone introduced herself.

Flashback

"Sakura-chan!" A voice called out.

She turned around to find Hinata, making her signature shy smile.

"W-Why are you still here?" She asked and looked at the crowd of students surrounding the new guy. "Why didn't y-you join them? I mean, d-don't you want to introduce yourself to the new comer?"

Hinata was the school assistant monitor. She was a wonderful person even though she was very shy. Everyone loved her because she had a kind heart. Most of the girls in the school admired her straight black hair and beautiful features.

"Well, he seems so busy right now." Sakura glanced at the group of people and smiled at her friend. "Maybe I should introduce myself later."

"Oh, okay then." Hinata nodded in understandment and returned to her seat.

End of flashback

Introducing yourself to somebody wasn't particularly necessary in Sakura's mind, but in reality it was kinda rude of her.

She mentally cursed at the sight of her watch. The cute device on her wrist said it was 9:25am, which meant she had 5 minutes to make it to the chemistry lab.

The last time she came late to class she got a detention from her fierce chemistry teacher, Mrs. Kurenai. She felt extremely embarrassed the moment her teacher ordered her to stand on a chair in the corner of the room wearing a stupid detention hat while being teased by her classmates.

Sakura shook away the memory. She would not make that mistake happen EVER again.

She quickly ran down the hall, holding her chemistry books. The only way she'd get to class in time would be if she hurried. She glanced at the clock and panicked. "Shoot! Only 3 minutes left!"

The day would be even worse if she got a detention. She rushed down the stairs.

"Sakura, watch out!"

To her dismay, the warning was a little too late. She tripped over and immediately closed her eyes, prepared to fall on her face and feel her body smack against the floor. But it didn't happen.

Surprisingly, she bumped into a firm chest. Her savior held her waist, preventing her from meeting the ground. Blood rushed to her cheeks. She felt embarrassed and clumsy. "I-I'm sorry. I was in a hurry."

"Hn."

*...*

Such a simple reply caught her attention. She looked up and realised that she had fallen into his arms. Her eyes widened in shock. He looked so much more handsome up close. "Sasuke..."

"Haruno," he said quietly.
