Goodbye Father

It has been many months since the Ninja Turtles had defeated notorious Master Shredder for good. The crime rate definitely has gone done a lot. Sometimes they had to go out and stop a robber or two. People were no longer afraid of them because they knew they were heroes. One Day Master Splinter became very ill and old. His end was nearing.
"My sons there will be a day where I won't be with you" said a dying Splinter his eyes full of tears. "But I want you to know. That I will always be in your heart is love you guys so much." said their loving father. "We love you dad" said his sons together. In that moment, Splinters eyes shut and he was gone. Sorrow filled the air. "Goodbye Father" they cried.
Master Splinter's death had some impact on the turtles. It was Michelangelo that was impacted the most. Michelangelo was the "younger Brother" out of the four. He didn't really understand death even though all of them are sixteen years old. Raphael wasn't very close to his Sensei but he grieved for him the second most. Leonardo was the third most and Finally Donatello.
The first thing the turtles decided to do was tell April that Splinter didn't make it through the night. They planned a burial for him.
After the burial it was very hard for the four them to cope with his death. The turtle that had it easiest was Donatello because he understands death the most and he tries to get his brothers to talk about the good times they had with Master Splinter. "Guys don't be sad that dad died, try thinking about all the happy times we had" he said with somewhat of a smile. Leo nodded in agreement. Raphael walked to his room and didn't say a word and Mikey started crying. Leo and Donnie went over to comfort their youngest bro.
"Mikey, it's going to be ok, I mean it's going to take some time but soon you'll be happy again" Leo said feeling the tears fill in his eyes but then he wiped them away. "Yeah hey Mikey remember that time where we had the turtle pox and dad was there to make sure we got better" Donnie said smiling. Mikey smiled" Sensei would like for us to be strong and take good care of each other." He said. "That's right Mikey we have to remember him in the best ways we can and I have a way to do it" Leo said still a little bit sad. Then Leo whispered something in his ear. "I'll try to get Raphael" Donnie said.
Don went to Raphael's room and knocked on his door. "Come in Donnie" he said. "How you did you know it was me" Donnie asked surprised that his brother had known it was him. "It's the number of times you knock" he said with somewhat of smile. "Leo needs us in the dojo room" he said smiling slightly. "What for" asked Raphael a little angry. "Just come on, you'll see when you get there" Don said. "Alright this better be good" said Raph with a little huff in his voice.
The other turtles joined the eldest turtle in the dojo room.
Leonardo came out wearing one of Master Splinter's uniforms. "I am going to continue on helping you guys with your training. We train every day no matter what. "Alright you are the boss" said Raphael. So they began training and went back to a normal routine. Everyone has started to warm up to Leonardo becoming their other known father figure. They were feeling better about his death until it was Master Splinter's birthday.
It was up to Leonardo to cheer them up. He decided to take them out for ice cream so they can celebrate like they always do. He told the others and they agree the four of them had a blast eating ice cream and remembering their father.
