Sango's last words
I desperately looked for an entrance to the cave. Damn! The only one was a hole high up… it was worth a try. Why? Why had Sango tried to beat the rockslide so Naraku wouldn't get away? Now we were separated and something could go terribly wrong. I started to climb the rocks to the hole I heard InuYasha and Kagome catching up and Kagome shouting to be careful. I could fit through but could I get down? I heard Naraku's evil chuckle resound and I knew I could. I got to the bottom and heard faintly InuYasha and Kagome arguing on the other side of the pile, I looked around it seemed to me that Sango was not here I saw a tunnel and ran to it hoping I wasn't too late to help her fight.
I scanned the room all was quiet I figured that they were further down; I was going towards the next exit when I heard a soft moan. I whirled and scanned again looking for the source of the noise saw Kirara's tails and went toward them wishing I'd been just a bit faster…
I knelt next to her fighting to hold back tears. I had been too late she was dead. I wished I could turn back the clock and keep her from going, but I couldn't. "Sango…" I whispered out of disbelief I heard Kagome's shoes on the solid ground and wiped my face.
"Mi…Ro…Ku." I heard Sango say with difficulty
"Sango!?" I wasn't sure if I should believe it
Kagome sat at her other side and grimaced she gently rolled Sango flat I barely heard InuYasha chasing after Naraku's scent Kagome started to tell me something about the damage being mostly internal but she was impaled through the stomach I tried only to look at her face she was trying to keep her eyes open she slowly told Kagome her last wishes as Kagome tried furiously to fix the impalement.
"Tell InuYasha, to take his head out of his ass… and start seeing right." Kagome nodded suppressing a giggle "Tell Shippo to be a good boy…" the Priestess in training nodded again "can you give…Kirara, to Kohaku when you kill Naraku?" Kagome smiled and said yes her voice cracking. Sango winced again, and I saw a drop of blood trickle from the corner of her mouth and a tear fall from her eye.
"Miroku, I'm… sorry."
"Don't be." I whispered
"I'm sorry that it took so long for me realize… that, I… love you…" she strained to say
I was shocked but elated but with that elation came sadness because she was so close to death… "Me too," I said and somehow she just knew what I meant. She smiled at me I couldn't help but smile back. She started to lose her breath and she could no longer speak she just mouthed "kiss me" I had wanted to for so long I obeyed immediately I'm not sure if Imagined her whisper "and I would bear your Children any day" but that's what I heard. After the kiss I held her close for a moment and then set her down back where she had been. Kagome watched all this in amazed shock. Sango held my hand and cried saying goodbye and that she loved them all. I cried with her.
When I felt her hand go limp I knew she was dead.
That happened four years ago and I really lost myself and I have wanted to die for some time now that I lay on my death bed dying from broken heart I feel some joy in knowing that I would see Sango Todaylo again, and that I had avenged her.
