Temari was sitting in the Kazekage office off to the side reading one of Sakura's medical books. Sakura was only in the office minutes ago when she left a few books here and a small bowl of cherries. Temari was glad Konoha could send their best medic rumours had it she even surpassed the Hokage. Gaara himself was signing paperwork, glancing once in awhile at the bowl of cherries on his desk.

The simple berry was not common in suna, in fact they weren't as red or juicy for they usually lose thier freshness in the merchants travels. Because of berries being very uncommon in Suna he had never tried any but if Sakura had said they were good then who was he to argue? She was after all in konoha, berries grew there off bushes.

"Oh, that's interesting." Temari commented on the book taking an cherry from the bowl and bit into it.

Gaara had ignored her and continued signing the papers with that tone it was best, Temari was his sister and an odd one at that. She doesn't really take the time to read books or to share an interest or insight with him unless it had to do with her duties as an ambassador.

"I said that's inter-est-ing!" Temari droned out in a slightly louder voice.

Gaara sighed placing his pencil down if he didn't now all of suna would hear her until he replied, looking to his sister showing that she had his full attention or else he asked her. "What is it?"

Spite his efforts of showing his boredom and lack of care for whatever she had wanted to share, she did anyways.

"Apparently, In addition to the phytonutrients in cherries, they also contain a naturally occurring amount of melatonin. Melatonin is a sleep-regulating hormone that is produced in the brains pineal gland." She answered as though she was teaching.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Was she trying to poison him? No, Konoha would be fools to try and seek revenge so then-

"It means it helps you find sleep naturally." Temari interrupted his thoughts, a soft, happy, dreamy -creepy- look on her face.

"They wont help." His insomnia wasn't something that could be cured by mere cherries though...that was kind.

"Yeah, but it's the thought behind it right? Awe so cute I'm going to give her a hug." Temari said cooing and leaving the office.

Gaara looked at the cherries on the table after some inner conflict he took one and tried it. He savoured it in his mouth and tried more, they weren't so bad.
