Connor lies on his bed, trying to decipher 'where is Charles Lee?' Recently, after killing Haytham, Charles Lee had gone into hiding to continue the work of his dead brothers, within in the safety of the shadows, slowly allowing the claws of the Templars to once again control society. The thought of Charles Lee, brings back memories of the day his mother died, the burning of the village and the hands on his neck, sucking the air out of his lungs, struggling to breath, his vision fading into black, until it stopped. The short gasps of air flowing down his sore throat, as he tried getting his breathing under control, until he realised that his mother was in the village. Then racing towards the village inorder to make sure his mother was alright or to help her if she was in danger. Coming back from the memory Connor could still feel the feeling of hands constricting his throat. Sitting up Connor grabbed a glass of water that was beside his bed, hoping the cool water would sooth his throat.
Laying back down Connor thinks of ways to lure Lee out, but at no success. As Lee is not an easy man to trick into a trap, as he his careful and calculating. Connor closed his eyes, listening to the sound of the wind blowing around the manor, falling into a light dream.
The pain blossomed in his side as the fort was pelted by cannons, destroying buildings around him. Connor struggled onwards, blood flowing from his wounds. Reaching the house where he knew Charles Lee was, shouting out his name, he waited... But instead of Charles Lee, he was met by his father, Haytham. They had a short discussion before a fight was ensured, Connor struggling to even put a scratch on his father. Instead knocking him into barrels and objects hoping to disorientate Haytham. Thus realizing this technique worked when Haytham collapsed on the ground, bring his hidden blade to Haytham's neck, he stabbed inwards, blood gushing out of the wound and as the sounds of people screaming and buildings crumbling as cannons pummeled into them. The soft words of "I am sorry" were drowned out, as Connor closed Haytham's eyes before leaving.
Waking up with a shout and short gasps of breath, Connor turned to look out the window at the setting sun as the orange, pink and blue mixed together in the sky. Realizing he knew 'where Charles Lee was'.
