The sun came in through the window but she shielded her eyes, dreading the new day. "Well, looks like I have to get up eventually" she said to the silent room. Maroon curtains and a pink daybed decorated the corner of her room beneath the window. The bed was a dark navy color with red satin sheets hiding under the comforter. She hated being labeled as the "girly type" but there were some comforts she couldn't go without like the silk sheets.

As the clock's second hand moved with more purpose, she closed and counted each second that went by. It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't have to go to class or work. Everyday the same routine seemed to be draining and Serena longed for some type, any type of, excitement.

Suddenly, she heard a microwave humming in the kitchen and the smell of coffee drifted into her bedroom. Her two friends, Fran and Kelly, were sharing the apartment that she lived in. Both of them had a life similar to hers but their lives lacked drama that hers had. "Hey, Ser – we're leaving in 15 minutes so get your butt out of bed now" yelled Kelly.

Serena's body responded quicker than her mind wanted to and her legs felt wobbly and shaken by her abrupt movement towards the bathroom. She had a life that other girls envied because she had the perfect roommates and had a part-time job that paid for her 'fun' life. Yes, it was a bit silly but her job paid for her college and her shopholic fetishes. Unfortunately, the one thing that her life lacked and differed from her roommates was the presence of a man. And for Serena not any man but the type that haunted her dreams, the type of man that you read about in the exotic novels.

A dark mysterious stranger that would be melt her down to her mere bones and make her hot and bothered. She was a woman and her wild side was dying to come out but just needed the man for the challenge.
