Chapter 1: Venom Reborn
A/N: Time for a test of my old skills as a writer of 'dead' fanfics. This time, I got my sights on a Naruto Marvel crossover that was once known as The Spider Fox by Dirty Reid. After talking to him a little bit about it, he has given the green light for me to bring this back from the Great Beyond. There will be some changes to it, mainly the removal of the smut content that was in it originally (in his words, Dirty Reid said that the smut really didn't belong there).
As for my plans for it, I have the idea of Naruto forming a team to fight the Akatsuki when the Fourth Ninja War starts up. Said team will be variations of legendary Marvel characters, with Naruto leading the charge as the new Venom. Of course, the team won't come into play until much further on down the road, but the members that will form this team will come in at various points in the story (with the likes of Rock Lee/Hulk, Chouji/Juggernaut, Kankuro/Doctor Octopus, Neji Hyuuga/Daredevil Gaara/Sandman coming into play during the Chuunin Exams) and will be from all over. And, after hearing from Dirty Reid that he was planning on having Yugito Nii (the Nekomata no Nibi/Matabi) being Black Cat, I decided that he had inadvertently gave me a challenge on making all 9 jinchuuriki variations of Marvel characters (already thought of Yagura (the Sanbi jinchuuriki the Yondaime Mizukage) being a variation of Hydro Man). So, expect to see various Marvel superpowers pop up.
The ages for the 'initial' cast (the Rookie 9, Team Gai, Sand Trio the Konoha Jounin) are as follows
Rookie 9 Gaara: 15
Team Gai Kankuro: 16
Temari: 17
Konoha Jounin: whatever their age is at the start of canon-Naruto

It was a cool night. The sky was lit up as the stars danced overhead, occasionally snuffed out by the tiny wisps of clouds that would drift across the heavens. The recently re-constructed streets were almost completely devoid of life, with the occasional civilian or shinobi passing by along the paved road. These passer-bys would always stop and appear to look upwards the Hokage Monument where the six faces looked down upon the now peaceful city of Konohagakure no Sato. But it was not the Monument that drew their attention. Atop the newly finished Hokage Citadel, an immense black web was strung between the Office Tower and the Administration Dormitories. This was not an unusual occurrence; it was a well known fact that the Rokudaime Hokage liked his webs, and found peace while lying in them. And indeed, right in the centre of the web laid a muscular figure. This figure was staring up at the stars and his predecessors, reminiscing upon the memories of his significantly extended life. He was a human, but his life was extended due to his two inside influences. One was the soul of the most powerful demon in existence, the Kyuubi no Kitsune. The other source… well… he was wearing it. Upon the man's muscular body was a figure-hugging black suit. Upon the suit were slightly raised web designs, arranged in a rather cobweb-like fashion. On the centre of his chest was a picture of a demonic looking, slate grey spider, which was mirrored on his back. Upon his hands were two gloves that merged perfectly with his suit. On the back were two white squares where he could shoot his webs from. The mask that usually adorned his face when he 'wore' this outfit was not there, allowing his face to be exposed to the cool night air. His blond, feathery hair waved slightly in the breeze, exposing his gorgeous azure eyes. They had once danced with life and exuberance, which was now faded slightly and replaced with somberness and humbleness, acquired over his almost one-hundred-and-thirty year life. Despite his age, the man looked not a day over twenty-eight.
"Reminisssscing again kid?" asked a hissing voice from his head. It was about one-hundred-and-fifteen years ago that he had started hearing this voice.
'Yeah, just remembering all of the fun times we had together.' The man responded. In meeting the symbiote that made the second voice in his head, Namikaze Naruto had accomplished great things and good things had happened to him. This symbiote had increased his strength and skill, making him a known sex symbol throughout the ninja countries. The charm and manliness had also led him to his wife; an ex-Suna kunoichi who once went by the name Sabaku no Temari. The symbiote had lent some of its substance to her, in order to extend her life so neither of them would ever be alone until their lives reached their limits. Currently at one-hundred-thirty-two years, Temari looked like a woman no older than thirty. The symbiotes had reproduced when Naruto's and Temari's son and daughter had been born, effectively bonding with them. Currently, Taka and Misora looked like they were about ten and seven respectively. When in reality Taka and Misora were seventy-eight and sixty. Most of Naruto and Temari's other friends and relatives were dead, but their children and grandchildren lived on. Allowing a shadow of a smile to cross his face, Naruto heard his wife calling him for dinner. Flipping over, he crawled on all fours down his web and landed gracefully on the tower's balcony. His smile widened when he was greeted by the sight of Temari standing there, waiting for him. She too had her symbiote active, but mimicking a pale pink spaghetti strap top that barely contained her large breasts. Naruto had to restrain himself from staring, as her nipples were erect in the cool air; not that his wife would mind him staring at her, because they'd probably be making love again tonight. Just below the very low-cut neckline, there was a picture of a silver tornado, with a demonic looking spider in the centre that matched Naruto's. The top was a little on the short side, revealing her flat, tanned stomach. She was wearing a short black skirt that fell halfway down her thighs, and the rest of her shapely legs were covered by fishnet stockings. Her feet were encased in a pair of shiny black pumps. Her beautiful face was stretched into a loving smile and her now waist length dirty blonde ponytail swayed slightly in the wind.
"Thinking again koibito?" she asked, with her hands on her perfect hips.
"Yeah, thinking about the old days." Naruto responded, embracing his wife with a long and sensual kiss. As their lips and tongues danced, Naruto thought back to the good things in his life as he picked Temari up bridal style and carried her into the tower:
He reminisced upon the downfall of Akatsuki, and the death of Orochimaru. He remembered the death of Uchihas Sasuke and Itachi. He recalled Gaara's redemption and the success in foiling the Suna/Oto invasion during the Chuunin Exams. He visualized the first time he met the love of his life.
These events all came to pass after he became the feared creature that once corrupted Eddie Brock:
Venom.

The sky was completely devoid of clouds, and the stars shone down upon the three fifteen-year-old Genin and two Jounin that darted through the trees. The Genin were the ever calm and angsty Uchiha Sasuke, the intelligent and voluptuous Haruno Sakura, and the comical, dumb Uzumaki Naruto. The two Jounin accompanying them were Konoha's Copy Ninja Hatake Kakashi, and one of the legendary Ino-Shika-Cho set, Akimichi Chouza. These five ninja were on a B-ranked mission. Naruto had been ecstatic, and his teammates had been thrilled and apprehensive that Genin as green as them were given a B-rank mission. After completion of the C turned A-rank mission to the Wave Country, they felt that they could do anything. But those smiles had vanished from their faces faster than the snap of a finger upon learning what the mission was:
They were to find, and exterminate a nest of onigumo.
They had been afraid upon hearing what their mission was, but the Hokage had reassured them that this was an easy mission. Konoha Intelligence had been observing the nest, and concluded that the spiders- albeit large and strong- were not very smart. The Hokage was absolutely sure that Team 7 would be able to handle the mission. Ever since the Wave Country, the three Genin had been training themselves furiously. Sasuke studied up on his recently unlocked Sharingan and tried to copy as many moves as possible, and improve upon the techniques he already knew. By the time their mission had come along, Sasuke had discovered that he was best suited using Katon and Raiton techniques. His highest Katon technique was the Karyuu Endan, which he could use a maximum of four times consecutively before he was exhausted of chakra. He had learned several Raiton techniques from Kakashi-sensei. His favourite was his self-invented Raiton: Tesaki Rakurai no jutsu. Sasuke had also bonded slightly with his teammates, increasing their teamwork skills dramatically.
Sakura focused more on her physique than her looks now. Naruto was pretty sure he had seen her training with Team Gai at some point. Sakura had packed on some muscle, not to make her look mannish, but to look mature and more attractive. She now wore her hair in a braid with a small lead weight on the end of it that she could use as a bludgeon if her hands were unusable. Over the time, Sakura discovered her affinity for Doton jutsu. To her delight, the Hokage himself had taught her a few jutsu, making her a formidable fighter. Sakura also managed to learn one or two medical jutsus so that she could heal her teammates when they were injured. She had also started to leave Sasuke alone a little bit more than she normally would. Mind you, she was still annoying.
Naruto had improved greatly. He had started wearing weights to increase his already formidable stamina. He was now approaching an even match to Rock Lee in pure taijutsu matches: Quite a feat. Naruto had started to lift weights, and was now able to lift about 200 pounds with his weights off. Naruto's jutsu affinity was Futon techniques. Futon ninjas were rather rare, so Naruto was only able to pick up on two jutsus: the Futon: Daitoppa, and the Kaze no Yaiba. He was still a loud idiot though.
Even though Sarutobi was confident in their skills, he insisted on sending the 'lightweights' in with some 'heavy artillery' AKA Akimichi Chouza who had been begging for a mission where he could crush something. He had grinned maniacally when the old man had told him he could go with Team 7 and crush some eight-legged vermin. He later proceeded to jump for joy, much to the amusement of the Genin.
Currently, they were approaching the cave where the nest of onigumo were said to be. The five shinobi raised their heads above an immense boulder just enough so that they could see over the rock. They looked like gophers with different coloured hair. To the casual passer-by, the cave would have looked ordinary enough; if they didn't see the hundreds of spiders creeping along the ground. Something in Naruto's head was warning him to stay away from the place.
"I've got a bad feeling about this." Naruto said quietly. Sasuke sneered.
"Scared, dobe?" he taunted. Naruto immediately flared up.
"NO WAY! I WON'T BE BEATEN BY YOU TEME!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. The four other ninja winced at the volume, and Sakura smacked him.
"Shut up baka! You want the spiders to know we're here?!" she hissed at him. Naruto looked sheepish and scratched his head.
"Gomen." He whispered. Chouza rolled his eyes and signaled for them to start for the cave. The five ninja stealthily jumped down and slunk into the cave. It was pitch black, so even Naruto's hideous orange jumpsuit didn't show up. The five had no problem, as they simply transferred some chakra to their eyes, and everything became clear. The cave seemed empty, save the thousands of spiders that were crawling into the depths of the dry cave. The five ninja crept silently into the cave; the only sounds made were the rustle of their clothing, and the crunch of them stepping on the spiders underneath them. With every step he took, the feeling of foreboding in Naruto's mind grew. Unbeknownst to the blonde, Kyuubi was attempting to discern the identity of a presence he had picked up a couple of minutes ago. The presence was familiar, but the fox could not pinpoint the image that should go with it. He remembered that the personality of the presence was rather violent and aggressive, with a side order of craftiness and deception.
Naruto was keeping his eyes open and his mouth shut; something he didn't do a lot. This mission required him to. He heard something move and launched a kunai at the source. There was the sound of flesh being pierced, and a quiet screech. The four accompanying nin jumped in surprise, and Kakashi whipped out a flashlight. He shone it upon the source of the noise; a black spider the size of a toddler. Sakura squealed in disgust.
"Don't squeal yet Sakura-chan; I'm pretty sure that they get a lot bigger than this." Naruto said in a deadpan tone. Sasuke looked indifferent, but nervousness was welling up inside of him as they ventured further into the cave, which began to slope down. After half an hour, and slaying progressively bigger spiders, they reached an immense cavern. There appeared to be a hole in the top because a faint, yet wide ray of light shone through the cavern. Near the centre, there was an immense funnel of spider webs. Some of them branched off loosely, and the nin could see the huge spiders in them. Chouza grimaced.
"What's our approach?" the plump man asked. Naruto stroked his chin.
"I say that we tie explosive notes to all of our kunai, and throw them from places we can't be seen. That ought to shake 'em up a bit." He proposed. His fellow nin were shocked; Naruto came up with a good plan. Kakashi agreed, gave them a little rundown of the procedure they would be using, and the five nin dispersed amongst the cavern. Once they were stationed at seventy-two degree intervals, the five ninja tied all of their explosive notes to every one of their kunai. They had been told that Kakashi would launch the first salvo of kunai. When they saw the explosions, they would toss theirs and engage the enemy. There was a four second pause before several bright flashes illuminated the cavern, and several large spiders went flying. Signal given, the four other ninja fired their salvos, and waited. Sure enough, four more flashes lit up the cavern, followed by the demon spiders screaming in agony. With the explosions gone, and the onigumo confused, the ninja moved to attack.
They found it surprisingly easy. While the smaller spiders were faster, they lacked power. The bigger ones were stronger, but much slower. The one thing they shared in common was that they weren't too bright. Sakura was enjoying this. Some of the onigumo only required a couple of kunai stabs to be killed. The bigger ones required her to use her jutsus occasionally, but more often she used her knuckle knives. They were essentially the same as brass knuckles but they had four, foot-long blades instead of brass bumps. Most of the spiders fell dead before her feet, regardless of size. She turned around and was met by a trio of full grown elephant sized demon spiders. She gulped as she began to form hand seals quickly.
"Doton: Iwayado Kuzushi!" she cried. An immense rock rose up from behind her and flew over top of the kunoichi, landing atop the three spiders. Satisfied, she turned away and began to hack away at some smaller spiders.
Sasuke was blasting away at the onigumo contently. He had developed a strategy where he would run in a circle, forcing the spiders into a dense herd. He would then perform the Katon: Housenka no jutsu with much more chakra than necessary, exhaling about two dozen fireballs. This made some of the spiders catch fire and run around crazily, occasionally burning other spiders in the process. Hearing something, Sasuke turned around and dodged a stinger the size of his head. What pissed him off was that some of the larger spiders could actually spit poison, or had a stinger, presumably for paralyzing a foe. He had had more than one close call with finding out what the stinger did. If it weren't for his Sharingan, he would probably be dead. Sasuke turned to his aggressor, and jumped away at the last second as the demon spider took a snap at him. Another thing that Sasuke had noticed was that some of the beasts were smarter than the others, but not by much. The spider that had attempted to bite him was about four times as tall as him. Instead of brown, grey, or black-coloured like the others, this spider was a rusty red. It was standing on its four back legs and baring its immense fangs at Sasuke. Said Uchiha looked behind the giant and noticed about four or five spiders of the same size. 'It's worth the chakra expenditure.' he thought. He ran through the seals and said:
"Katon: Karyuu Endan!" he inhaled and released the dragon shaped fire missile flew forward and engulfed the five immense onigumo. The missile dissipated, but the flames still moved forward, burning more spiders. Smirking, Sasuke turned to stab a spider almost as big as he was, but an orange blur beat him to the stab. Naruto looked at him questioningly. Sasuke grinned.
"Sixty-six." He stated proudly. Before they had reached the cave, they had agreed to a contest; whoever killed the most onigumo made the loser buy them dinner. Sasuke was sure that the dobe wasn't doing so well. His hopes were dashed when Naruto gave him his kill count.
"Eighty-one! Take that teme!" Naruto proclaimed and ran back to the battle. Sasuke's mouth fell open. Then he saw why Naruto's kill toll was so high; Naruto was using Kage Bunshins to do the dirty work. Occasionally, one of the Bunshins would explode. The Bunshin Daibakuha was another one of the techniques that Naruto had learned before the mission. Another jutsu that he learned (From the Hokage himself) was Shuriken Kage Bunshin no jutsu. Naruto took great pride in adding two more A-rank techniques to his arsenal. But it wasn't enough now. The onigumo were pushing Sasuke and Naruto back. The two boys felt their backs being pushed together as they were cornered. Naruto whispered into Sasuke's ear, and the Uchiha boy nodded with a grin. The two began to form multiple hand seals. Sasuke stopped on tiger, and Naruto stopped on bird. Together they cried:
"Nigyo Waza: Daishotoppa!" Naruto exhaled an immense blast of wind, and Sasuke shot out a huge fireball. The two jutsus combined, creating a torrent of white hot flames that seared through the cavern, leaving an enormous swath of devastation in its wake. Dozens of dead or seared onigumo were lying on their backs, smoking. The Daikatoppa kept going until it hit the immense funned in the middle of the cavern. Nothing happened for a few seconds, and then an unearthly shriek echoed through the cavern. All of the demon spiders ceased their onslaught, and began to crawl up the walls and into holes in the cavern. Chouza and Kakashi, who had been fighting back to back, deactivated their Baika no jutsu and Chidori respectively and looked at the funnel web. It began to shake and tear. Eventually, the funnel web was completely torn apart and out stepped the Onigumobunta. This demon had to be at least twice as tall as the Hokage Tower. It was black, with red streaks, and covered in cobwebs. On the ends of each of its spike-covered legs were three wicked looking claws. Its eight white, slitted eyes gazed down upon the five nin, now rallied together. While it did not have the two large fangs of other spiders, it instead had a full mouth which was lined with enormous, pointy teeth. Hanging from its mouth was a colossal black tongue, which was oozing green saliva or poison.
"W-we've g-g-got to f-fight THAT?!" Sakura exclaimed, if possibly, paling even more.
"C'mon Sakura-chan, stay strong. We can lick this!" Naruto attempted to console her. Needless to say, the reassurance was offset due to the absence of colour in his face. Kakashi was taking deep breaths to calm his thundering heart.
"Clearly the fates hate us." he remarked. Four heads turned to him. "So far, both of our higher level missions have turned into things the ANBU would do. K.I. clearly didn't do a very good job on their reconnaissance; this has to be an S-rank mission as of now." Naruto began to chuckle.
"Well, we proved ourselves to best ill fate before; we can do it again!" Naruto exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air.
"Damn straight dobe." Sasuke replied, fingering his Windmill Shuriken open. Sakura was quiet, but her Inner Persona was yelling "HELL YEAH!"
"I'm no expert on spiders, but I say that we go for the eyes first." Chouza suggested.
"Good plan Chouza-san."
"Agreed."
"Hn."
"LET'S DO IT! DATTEBAYO!"
Chouza performed a couple of seals and shouted "CHO BAIKA NO JUTSU!" the Akimichi man suddenly grew to about three quarters the size of the immense Kumobunta in front of him. The immense arachnid roared and charged the giant. Chouza pulled out a scroll, and summoned a giant, iron pole with a sharp point on the end of it. The giant spider was moving at a very fast clip; all Chouza had to do was point the sharp end of the pole at the beast, impaling one of its eight giant eyes. The beast screeched in agony and recoiled. Chouza looked down, crouched, and held out his hand.
"YOU'RE UP KAKASHI." Chouza's voice boomed through the cavern. Kakashi hopped onto Chouza's hand, and the giant man catapulted him through the air. The cyclops landed on top of the spider. The immense arachnid felt the tiny person (to him) standing on his head, and launched several hairs from his back straight out. With his Sharingan active, Kakashi managed to dodge the spines, but not without a couple of nicks. Kakashi managed to manoeuvere his way to the spider's forehead and charged up his signature jutsu.
"RAIKIRI!" he howled as he raked the attack along the monster's skull. It howled in pain, and let out a screech as Kakashi plunged the lightning blade into its eye. It began to buck and flail, launching Kakashi forwards. Chouza caught him, and set the shaking Jounin back on the ground. Sasuke jumped up onto Chouza's hand, and was flung at the spider. While flying through the air, he did the seals for the Karyuu Endan, but added the seals for his favourite jutsu.
"Nigyo Waza: Ryuu no Hi to Raiko!" Sasuke screamed. A large dragon-shaped fire jet shot from his mouth, and lightning flew from his hands. The two elements combined to make a purplish dragon that both flamed and crackled. The attack of two elements crashed into the monster's abdomen and spread. The creature shrieked in pain. It began to flail around, and Sasuke was almost thrown off. The other ninja had to start jumping around to avoid the rampaging demon spider. Sasuke managed to time his jump right and landed on Chouza's shoulder.
"WE GOTTA END THIS QUICKLY! OR THIS PLACE IS GONNA COME DOWN!" Naruto screamed. Sakura took the hint and grabbed onto one of Chouza's heels. Chouza brought the heel up behind him, launching Sakura straight towards the spider. She managed to get a grasp on one of its legs. Anchoring herself to the leg by transferring chakra to her feet, she did the seals for one of her more powerful jutsus.
"Doton: Doryuudan no jutsu!" Sakura announced. A pair of dragon heads rose out of the ground and began launching spike-shaped projectiles of stone at the monster's belly. They pierced the spider's exoskeleton, and drew the black blood of the demon. It roared in agony and began to buckle; it was feeling so much pain. Sakura jumped off of the spider, but felt a searing pain in her leg. She looked down and grimaced as she pulled the spine out of her demon blood-encrusted leg. It hurt like a bitch, but she wouldn't show Sasuke-kun that she was weak. She transferred some healing chakra to her leg, and made her way back to the group stiffly. Sasuke was grinning at her. Sakura smiled back. She was about to say something, but Naruto chose to give a battle cry as he was catapulted forward. The spider flailed again, making him miss completely. Thinking quick, Naruto created a chain of Kage Bunshins which latched onto the onigumo, and pulled him back on to the berserk beast.
"Tajuu Kage Bunshin no jutsu!" Naruto yelled, and the spider was immediately covered in orange Bunshins. Quickly they moved to different points on the spider, concentrating more on the junction between the upper and lower body, and the head. The spider attempted to shake them off, but Naruto reacted fast.
"Bakuhatsu!" he cried as he ran towards the front of the spider from its rear. As soon as he began to run, the clones began to explode. The beast roared in agony as it fell to the ground. Naruto slid down the beasts hairy head, and jumped off as the last of his clones exploded. He landed on his feet, and the beast's seared head landed a few feet behind him. He smirked in a superior fashion at his four colleagues, who had anime-style white eyes, and grounded jaws.
"That STILL only counts as one!" Sasuke shouted at him, veins pulsing on his head.
"You lose teme. Admit it, dattebayo!" Naruto cried. There was a hissing sound from behind him. Naruto turned and found that the spider still had some life in it. The demon raised its head and flared its fangs. Naruto instinctively jumped away.
But he was not fast enough. One of the spider's fangs came down and sliced Naruto's arm. A small amount of a sticky goop-like substance was ejected from the fang and was immediately absorbed into the wound.
Naruto screamed in agony and clutched his arm. His body felt like it was on fire. His skin flashed black for a moment before he fell unconscious.
"NARUTO!" the four other ninja yelled as they rushed to catch him. Sakura immediately checked his vitals; they were somewhat elevated.
"He's starting to run a high fever, and his vitals are elevated! We need to get him medical attention now!" she shrieked. Chouza immediately picked him up and headed for the exit. The three others followed him frantically.
Once they were outside, Kakashi summoned a large dog that was able to carry the five nin. Within three hours, they had returned to Konoha. The five crashed through the hospital doors like a hurricane, startling the receptionist.
"This boy needs attention now!" Kakashi said in a frantic voice. The receptionist snorted in disgust.
"I'm not letting that abomination into my hospital." He growled. Chouza's eyes narrowed dangerously.
"Is that a death wish?" he hissed venomously. He used a Bubun Baika no jutsu to enlarge his arm, and raised it up above the receptionist like a hammer. Said receptionist paled.
"T-this way!" he squeaked, leading them into the hospital at a fast clip. Ten minutes later, Naruto was lying in a hospital bed, fast asleep and deathly still. His two teammates, sensei, and Chouza were waiting outside of his room while hoping the diagnostic would come soon. Kami-sama blessed their prayers as a nurse walked out of the room. The four shinobi stood up in an almost eerie synchronization.
"How is he doing?" Kakashi asked quietly. He had been feeling guilty that he had not protected Naruto better. Whenever someone tried to say that it was not his fault, he would turn away and be unresponsive.
"He's doing fine. His vital signs are normal, but he's running an unusual fever, his blood's running a little slow, and his chakra is flowing in an erratic pattern. Another weird thing is happening to him; his current muscle mass has increased by 1.5 times. None of this can be explained; we even had a Hyuuga medic come in and check him out. Even she couldn't find the source of this oddity." Said the nurse. The four nin looked at each other with puzzled expressions. What could possibly be going on with Naruto?

Naruto opened his eyes, and was met by an unusual sight. He appeared to be in a black corridor. Nervous, he started to walk down it, going nowhere in particular. As he wandered, he noticed that the walls would twitch occasionally. After counting eight twitches, Naruto heard a loud growling noise. He almost jumped out of his skin. But something was telling him to go to the sound. Listening to this intuition, Naruto crept through the tunnels. After an uncounted amount of time, Naruto reached an immense room. At the back of the room there was a colossal cage with a small piece of paper on it that read 'seal'. An odd red glow was behind it. As Naruto stepped closer, an immense animal face materialized out of nowhere. Naruto froze up in terror as he recognized the mug. Immense fangs… blood red eyes… pointy ears… nine tails…
The Kyuubi no Kitsune.
"You… y-you're…!" Naruto managed to stutter out.
"Yes boy, I am the greatest of all demons. You got your ass pretty knocked up back at the spider's cave. But that's why I've called you here." The fox's voice boomed.
"'Called me here'? What do you mean? Where are we?" Naruto asked, confused.
"We are inside your mind kit. I have called you here to address your condition. Do you remember when the big spider got you, and that black substance got into you?" Kyuubi asked, with a raised eyebrow (Or, at least Naruto thought it was raising its eyebrow. It was hard to discern expressions and features on the fox's face.).
"Uh, yeah. Why?" Naruto asked.
"Because that black stuff was a being called a 'symbiote' which could be called a parasitical bei-" The fox was cut off by a deep, hoarse voice from nowhere.
"Ssssilencce foxxx. I will exxplain myssself to the young one." The unseen voice hissed. When silence ensued, a section of the black floor began to rise up in tendrils. The top of the strange pillar became a shape reminiscent of a head. Two sections of it turned white, forming into a pair of huge, white, demonic-esque eyes without pupils. A section opened up near the bottom, forming the mouth. Immense, pointy white teeth rose out of the jaws as the strange being gazed at the blond ninja.
"Are you this 'symbiote' thing?" Naruto whispered, paralyzed in fear.
"Yesss boy, I am. I am asssuming that you wissshhh to know why I am here. I will be more than content to tell you. Hundredsss of yearsss ago, I wasss brought to Earth by a man named Peter Parker. He was alssso known as Ssspider-man. He rejected me for fear of my power. I sssoon bonded with a man who acccepted me with open armsss. Hisss name wasss Eddie Brock. Together, we accomplissshhed great thingsss. I wasss able to exxxtend hisss life for hundredsss of yearsss, asss well asss increassse hisss ssstrength, ssspeed, and agility to that of a ssspider the sssize of him. Eddie died about three hundred yearsss ago, and I wasss left alone. I eventually managed to bond with an ordinary ssspider, creating the creature you humansss call 'onigumo'. I wasss impressssed when you and your friendsss managed to defeat me and my hossst. If you will permit me, I wissshh to lend you my power. If you lisssten to our commands, you will become thisss 'Hokage' of which title you covet with greater eassse. Will you accccept and become the new Venom?" the black entity asked, teeth gritted. Naruto pondered for a moment.
"What will happen to me if I do accept your offers?" Naruto asked with his head cocked to the side.
"We will both teach you how to survive, and how to use our powers. If you know how to access our abilities of carnage and chaos, you will be unstoppable Kyuubi replied to his question. Naruto voiced a question that he dreaded asking.
"What do you two want in return?" he croaked out.
"That isss a sssimple quessstion; we wissshh to be able to ssspeak with you. Kyuubi informsss me that it getsss lonely in here after ssseveral yearsss of sssilenccce and neither of usss want that. In order to ssspeak to usss, you need only think of what you wissshh to sssay to usss. In turn for lissstening to our whissspersss, we will lend you power. But beware; our power will corrupt your sssoul if you begin to become dependent upon it. Our persssonalitiesss may also sssupplant your own if you call upon our power in excccesss. Do you underssstand?" the symbiote asked, staring at Naruto intently. Naruto was silent for a moment. Here were two great beings offering him power for practically nothing in return. Despite the somewhat dangerous consequences, Naruto felt like taking a gamble.
"I accept your offer and terms." Naruto answered. The symbiote gave a huge, toothy grin, and Kyuubi chuckled.
"Excellent. Hold still for a moment while I make the changes for the augmentation kit." Kyuubi told him. There was a bright flash, and there were suddenly chains attached to Kyuubi's cage, and the floor. The chains traveled up and into the blackness, farther than Naruto could see.
"What do those chains do?" Naruto asked quizzically.
"Those chains connect us, so that you can speak to us through your mind." Kyuubi answered. "You are going to have to wake up soon. While it has only been a few minutes in here, the time outside of your mind is about 9:30 in the morning."Said the fox while looking upwards at a pale ray of light. Naruto simply shrugged and made a little bow to his tenants.
"Thank you for your help you two, and I will talk to you later." Naruto said while politely smiling. He began to feel a little tug, meaning that it was time to go back. The last thing he saw before the black abyss claimed him was the entity and the immense fox spirit grinning at him.

Naruto's team and Iruka sat around his bed as they watched him sleep. All of them were extremely worried about him. Would his blood keep slowing until it stopped? Would his chakra give out and kill him? Would he burn to death from his fever? These were just some of the questions that burned through the minds of the four ninja.
'Now I almost regret passing this team. I take them on a mission, and one has a scratch with death. Please don't die Naruto; don't be another person that dies from being close to me.' Kakashi thought, with his head hung in depression.
'Damn you, dobe! You're the one person I feel a bond to, and you're not guaranteed to live. C'mon dobe, you can do it. Don't give up on me; who would I have to be a rival if you passed away?' Sasuke thought with a shadow of a small smirk at the last thought.
'Naruto, I'm so sorry. I should've been kinder to you. That way you would not have died knowing only hate.' Sakura thought, wiping a tear from her eye.
Iruka wasn't thinking anything. He was distraught that his unofficial son/otouto might not make it. He was currently sitting with his head down, tears falling freely from his eyes. If Naruto were to die… he didn't know what he would do.
It was so quiet in the room that the groan that came from Naruto sounded like a stampede of Akimichis. All four of the nin almost died of shock at the noise, but smiles came over their faces when Naruto opened his eyes, and sat up.
"NARUTO! You're alright!" Sakura cried as she jumped up and pulled the blond into a bone-crushing hug.
"Th-thanks Sakura-chan." Naruto managed to hiss out. "Would ya loosen up? I can't breathe!" Naruto wheezed as he began to turn blue. Sakura immediately released him, scratching the back of her head and smiling sheepishly. Iruka immediately moved in and hugged Naruto, who gladly reciprocated. No words were spoken as the two hugged. Both of them smiled at each other as they released each other.
"How ya feelin' dobe?" Sasuke asked, grinning. Naruto returned the grin.
"I'm feeling a little dizzy and sore, but I'm okay teme." Naruto shot back. Sasuke chuckled.
"Well, for that scratch with death, I'm definitely buying you dinner." Sasuke informed him. Naruto narrowed his eyes.
"You weren't going to honour our bet weren't you? Oroka kokuzoku." Naruto muttered.
"Good to see you're feeling better Naruto." Kakashi remarked, face buried in his orange Icha Icha Paradise book.
"That's cold Kakashi-sensei; mourning over me one minute, reading smut the next. That cuts me deep, man." Said Naruto in a hurt tone. Kakashi sniggered a little.
"Well, if you're well enough to make smart remarks, I'd say you're good to go. Nonetheless, I'm still going to give you three the weekend off. Train if you want, but don't over-exert yourself Naruto. If you do, there's another Sennen Goroshi with your name on it waiting." Kakashi warned him. Naruto shuddered at the memory of that jutsu during the bell test; he'd had a hard time sitting down for days. Slowly, he got up, wincing from his sore body.
'Kyuubi?Symbiote? Why is my body so sore?' Naruto demanded mentally.
"Your body isss sssore becaussse I have been augmenting it. Fifty percccent of your original mussscle masss hasss been added onto your original amount. Onccce you begin to call upon my power, I will be able to increassse your strength a hundredfold." the symbiote replied.
"Okay kit; find a secluded part of your village. As of now, your training has officially started." Kyuubi growled. Naruto grinned maniacally.
This was going to be fun.

A/N: And thus ends the debut chapter of Shinobi Assemble. Got a lot of things lined up for what'll happen later on down the road (for instance, the Fourth Shinobi War in the Shippuden era will happen). Do got something I need to ask you guys. I want to have the other two genin of Team 7 have a Marvel power as well. I already got Sakura's power lined up (and no, it's not gonna be She-Hulk or Red She-Hulk), but I'm stumped on who to even think would be a good fit for Sasuke. So, here's the question… What Marvel character would best fit Sasuke? Leave a review with your thoughts, okay?
